By Flipping the Class, kids are able to come to class prepared and ready for learning. They are able to feel confident and ready for the day rather than intimidated and nervous. I think by implementing this we could really get parents involved and accountable. I was even wondering if students of low socioeconomic households could even receive free wifi from the district with the expectation that as a family they get on and view learning together. I send documents to the teachers that they are able to edit and add name to, for example our Tier II intervention group. I compile a list based off data, however if they feel as though another student is a better fit for that group, they may make adjustments. We also use Google docs for PBIS and Tier I, for incentives and student recognition awards. Many that I will share with my teachers next year and many that I will use to assist with my job. The Khan Academy helped so much with my son while he was out on medical leave.
