         <description><![CDATA[<div>It was built in 3000 B.C. in England, Europe. The rocks were thought of being used by many things. People thought they were used for ceremonies or for aliens to land there. It was used as a Late Neolithic burial site. Astronomers on the other hand used the giant pilers to predict eclipse and seasons.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hipparchus was born on 190 BC in Nicaea in Turkey. He was a Greek astronomer, geographer, and mathematician.  He’s considered the founder of trigonometry but is most famous for his incidental discovery of procession of the equinoxes. With his solar and lunar theories and his trigonometry, he may have been the first to develop a reliable method to predict solar eclipse. little of his work survives, but Ptolemy considered him his most important predecessor. He then passed away in 120 BC.  </div>]]></description>

He stated that the "Ptolemaic system" was that the planet earth was the center of the universe. He would also record longitudes and latitudes in degrees almost 8000 locations in his world map. Ptolemy is one of the most accurate Greeks that tried to explain planetary motion.</div>]]></description>

He was mostly known for establishing the concept of a heliocentric in where the sun instead of earth is the center of the solar system.  Copernicus also established that the planets orbited the sun rather than the earth. He laid out his model of the solar system and the path of the planets. </div>]]></description>

Galileo is best known for the discovery of the 4 most famous moons of Jupiter which are known for the "Galileo mounds" Galileo then published his work and came out publicly in support of the heliocentric model of the solar system which put him behind bars for a long time. </div>]]></description>

He was a nobleman, astronomer and writer he was well known for his accurate and comprehensive astronomical observations. Brahe also kept good records of what he would see or discover such as stars, planets and other astronomical events including a comet and a supernova. Most of his observations were before the telescope come into play he observed with his astronomical instruments he had.</div>]]></description>

Kepler was a German astronomer, mathematician, and astrologer.  Kepler was well known for his 3 Kepler laws of planetary motion. Planets moved in orbits shaped like and ellipse a line between a planet and the sun covers equal areas in equal times. He was the first to determine that refraction drives vision in the eye, and that using two eyes enables depth perception. He used Brahe's notes to find a more simple description of planetary moon.</div>]]></description>
