The celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the most important monthly event in the community of Pasig Catholic College for 108 years. There are also special masses like Ash Wednesday which also happens during the duration of the yearly foundation celebration. However, this pandemic didn't hold us back from celebrating the foundation week and the ash Wednesday. it only means that we are embracing the character of a Pccian who will always find a way to proclaim their faith, and the legacy of the CICM fathers still lives on even in the hardest times.

Mobile Legends is one of the best online games that fascinated the Filipino youth for a long time now. I am also very active in playing this game, especially during this pandemic. Online games are my main source of entertainment and I am fond of playing because it helps reduce my stress and it keeps me away from unhealthy thinking. Online games also give me happiness especially when I am playing with my friends. That's why I watched the whole tournament and I didn't get myself wrong with my decision.

The whole tournament lasted for 7 hours and the participants are ranging from juniors to college students. I really wanted to join the tournament but unfortunately, I don't have a team. The flow of the activity is really fun since the host and the audience are hyped from the beginning up to the closing. The champions named "Team Hydra" are a team from junior high and they are really good with the game and they deserved the win. But in the end, we all know that every team is a champion even though they won or not because they gave their best and fought hard until the end. I hope that PCC will continue prioritizing e-sports activities in the succeeding years because gaming also requires talent and skill just like every other contest. And there are a lot of living proofs that you can really earn from gaming.

In the morning of Thursday, the Holy Eucharist was presided by Rev. Father Roberto Okol and he shared a very great homily. He started by sharing a story of a man who is thinking of killing himself, which eventually didn't happen. The other thing he shared is being a PCCIAN, he said that we must use the values that were thought to us and live the essence of being a person of character and competence so that we can achieve our ambitions in life, to be contented, and to become a better individual in our whole life.

THINGS TO LOVE ABOUT PCC

In my almost 7 years of stay in PCC, it really became a solid long journey of failures, learnings, and victories. At first, when I am just a grade school student, I didn't really like the idea of spending my high school life in PCC because my peers are going to a public high school, and it became a hard time for my family to force me to go to PCC. As I live my freshmen year in PCC, all my expectations aren't evident, like everyone are solid English speakers, all of the students are rich and etc. all of those expectations are really wrong. Then I got into counseling and talk to our guidance counselor about my fear of socializing, mathematics, and other kinds of stuff, but then nothing changed about my fearful attitude not until I appreciated the title of being a Pccian.

The things that you will love about PCC are the values that they share in the community, though some students are really stubborn there are still a lot of individuals who will help you become better. It's really easy to create friendships in PCC but as soon as you got older, it gets less and less but the memories and the happiness you shared together will last for eternity. Another thing about PCC is that they are giving a lot of school activities and it only means that, the more they engage you in fun and memorable activities, the more you create happy moments with others just like the fun run in grade 8 where we are throwing color powders in the faces of anyone and got caught by Ms. Apolinario. One more thing that you will also love about PCC are the teachers, yes! they are very passionate about teaching, they are very understanding, loving, and especially they don't only share intellectual lessons but also life lessons that you can use for your entire life. And lastly, what I love the most about PCC is every positive thing about them, clean restrooms, tasty and healthy foods, facilities, early suspensions, solid presidents, gorgeous teachers, Mr. Umali, Ms. Aguilar who taught me to become a brave man, the guards, the vendors, the janitors and everything about PCC. And why did I say that? it's because I have this philosophy that if you will just look at everything with love, then you will appreciate the existence of everything more especially the temporary one. I'm going to college next year and leave this community, but I am sure that my love for PCC and the values they shared to me will last forever.

Being a PCCian is a great experience to have, a lot of fun activities, beautiful memories and everything about being in PCC in wonderful. But you will never be a pccian if you haven't sang the "We are" within the top of your lungs and embracing the message of the song, even more if you are cannot find the essence of the song.

"We come from different corners of the world, and gather as children of God." Even if you are not a Christian or a Catholic it only means that we are all children of God and anyone doesn't have the right to question and make fun of the religion of anyone. "It is a promise to practice our faith", what it means is that nurturing your faith also comes with applying it on real life, if you just pray and pray and nothing change within you, then you are just wasting your time. and lastly, "We are an evangelizing community", just like the picture above, Father Rocky is evangelizing African people to give them hope, faith, inspiration, specially the youth. It only depicts that you are not obliged to become a priest just to inspire others with the word of God. Because you can always evangelize others just by having bible studies or even participating in BEC's on your local church. But the best among all is to pray with your family, because praying with them will make you appreciate more the message of God and even make you appreciate more the people that loves you.

As a graduating student it is really sad to know that your last year in high school will happen in the comfort of our own home. The happy memories that could happen, the activities, the wholesome moments, crying and laughing and dying from school works is what makes me or us miss school more. But all of those things is really impossible due to this current pandemic. But even though this pandemic kept me away from the fun of being at school, I never let it destroy my attitude and values to others. And as this pandemic goes on, the more I have the time to make myself better, the more I see the sense of the mission and vision of our school.

I love buying my favorite foods in 7-11 specially that I have a lot of time now to watch my favorite movies and series. And every time I see street kids outside the convenience store, I never hesitated to buy them some biscuits and talk to them sometimes. Also, even though we are currently on lockdown, we are still having bible studies during Mondays with singing, eating, and sharing with the whole family and sometimes a little bit of crying of course. During this season of lent our family is travelling to Bulacan every Sundays, and participate in the holy eucharist in La Sallete every 6:00 am in which it is presided by a very witty and intellectual priest. These experiences makes me feel that I am fulfilling the vision of our alma mater. It doesn't only make me a better individual but, it makes the relationship of my family stronger than before. And I am proud to say that I am a Pccian, and will forever be a person of character and competence. And I will miss this community so much.
