Football is a team sport which is the most popular sport in the world. There are many rules of this game but the aim of the game is to score a goal by getting the ball over there oppositions goal line and scoring more than the other team.
Regulations -
The game is played with a football which has very strict regulations. It has to be made up of certain materials. Also the diameter of 68-70cm and a weight between 410-450 grams. It also must have a internal pressure of between 0.6 and 1.1 atmospheres above sea level. If the ball bursts play is restarted with a drop ball by the referee and the ball can only be changed by the ref after checking it over.
The pitch has to be rectangle with markings that show the touchline, goaline, spots, arcs, corner arcs and needs flag posts. There must be a halfway line separating the two halfs and both halfs must have a 6 yard and 18 yard box which is the penalty area which is located around both goals. The field must be 90 to 120 metres and 45-90 metres wide.
Rules -
Each team has a maximum of 11 players on the pitch at one time including 1 goalkeeper and a minimum of 7 players to continue the match. 3 substitutions are allowed throughout the 90 minute game if the match is not a friendly.
Players on the pitch during a game must be wearing a full football kit including shirt, shorts, socks, shinpads and football boots. Goalkeepers require gloves and a different colour shirt than the players. No jewelry is allow.
The math is played for 2 45 minute halfs with a half time which is 15 minute long. Additional time is added at the end of both halfs for stoppages and injuries which break up and slow down the game.
The ball has to completely cross a touchline to go out of the field of play which would give either a throwing goalkick or corner kick. The ball is in play if its within the field lines and the ref hasn't stopped play.
Before the game a coins tossed between the captains of the teams to choose ends and who gets kickoff for the first half. At halftime the other team would kickoff.

Each game a referee controls the game and ensures all the rules and regualtions are followed and he can punish and caution players with either a yellow or red card. He can give cautions by blowing his whistle to stop play. A red card would send as player off giving them a match ban. 2 yellows would end up in a red. The referee has the final decision and has authority of the match.
The referee has at least two assistant referees who are know as linesmen, these judge wether a balls gone out of play or if there is an offside. There is also a fourth official who takes control of substitutions and managers.
One of the most important rules is the method of hwo to score a goal. To do this the ball has to completely cross the openents goal line between both of the goalposts and under the crossbar. As long as the goals are legal and not offside or no fouls are taken place the team with the most goals win the game. If both teams score the same amount then it would be a draw.
Offside is the most controversial rule as sometimes it is very hard to determine whether a players offside or not. A players offside at the moment a balls passed forward when the players closer to the goal than the ball and that there are fewer than 2 defenders closer to the goal that the attacking player.(When in the oppositions half). If player A who is an attacker is closer to the goal than the deepest defender) when the balls passed forward then player A is offside.
Fouls are given from the referee and punishments are made depending on the severity of it. A foul throw is when a player throws the ball into play wrong for example lifting his leg up. From this the opposite side is given a throw-in.
Free-kicks are given from fouls and are put ionto 2 catagories which are indirect and direct. Direct means the player taking the freekick can score straight away. Indirect means another player has to touch it before a goal is scored. Penaltys are given when a foul has occured onan attacker in the penalty area. This is a spot kick and the penalty spot is 12 yards out and the attacker has one touch to score. If player A who is in his own 18 yard box fouls player B who is attacking then a penalty is given to the attacking team.
Goal kicks are given when a offensive player kicks the ball out of bounds over the oppositions goal line. This kick has to be taken inside the 6 yard box. The corner kick is awarded when a defensive team plays the ball out of bounds over there own goal line. The ball must be placed in the corner arc and is a direct set piece. If player A plays the ball over his own goal line then the opposite team are given a corner ball.

Aswell as the tennis ball the rackets have to be authourised by the ITTF.

Rules-
A match consists of a best of any odd number of games. The games are won by the first person to score 11 points unless both are on 10 points then its the player to gaina lead of 2 points who wins. Whoever wins this wins that set. If player A scores 11 points before player B then player A wins unless they both get to 10 then they have to win by 2 clear points.
After every 2 points serving changes player.
To serve the legally, the server should start with the ball on there palm then through it upwards without spin at least 16cm high and then strike the ball so it lands in there own half then then bounces and lands in the opponents. In singles servers make a service then reciever makes a return and then this starts off a rally. If the ball bounces twice in the openents half of the court the attacker who took the shot will get a point. Also if person A takes a shot and it bounces on the person Bs half and person B fails to return it, person A gets the point.
The main way to get points during a rally is to hit the ball after it bounces in your half then hit it into the opponents half and try and stop the openent from returning it. If the openent doesnt return it after bouncing then you get the point. There are many ways to ear a point including if an opponent touches the net during play, opponent strikes the ball twice, ball touches any part of the oppenents body, if a false service is made or if opponent fails to return the ball. If player A serves legally then it hits player Bs body or hand, Player A gets a point.
This game can also be played in doubles aswell as singles. In doubles if an oppent strikes the ball out of the sequence established by the server and the first reciever a points given. The service has to go diagonally from servers right hand to receievers right hand. At change of service the previous reciever becomes server.
For both singles and doubles a let is called if a good serve touches the net and lands on other side of the table or reciever is not ready. It is also given if plays distrubed by something outside of the players control.
