This session was truly MAGICAL! It made me feel great, as I met a lot of new colleagues and people from my native town))) I think, the most interesting thing was that I had a lot of similar ideas with my partners and I shared love to travelling with two groups I was in. The most challenging was to engage with others overcoming the troubles of slow Internet connection and shyness. Me being a "loud and proud" chaotic person sometimes does not play into favore, but I promise I'll work on that) Other than that I am satisfied with how this session went. Huge thanks to facilitators who did their best - YOU ARE AWESOME!

The first live session was rough. The introduction to the programme has been nice. The facilitators(Victoriia and Nataliia) are real experts in the course. I've liked the way how they've used Google Jamboard. I heard about it but I have never used by myself. Today it has been the first time and it's been a new activity for me. The Online Teacher Community "Group 18" is marvellous. I have collaborated with some of the teahers during group work and I want to say that they are very kind, professional and have a desire to discuss, to share their ideas and of course to learn something new and interesting! Thanks for the first online day!

The first live session was very inspiring for me as almost all trainings witch we had with British Council. I was so pleasant to see “familiar faces”. I had an opportunity to come back five-four years ago and remembered the time of Change Agents))) Interesting and useful way of working with Jamboard, positive communication in break-out rooms, new people, creative facilitators, new tools (I didn’t know about Polleverywhere – thanks a lot for it), strict time management (it’s cool!!!) … It possible to add more and more about our first meeting.
At the very beginning it was a little bit complicated to work with the platform but it was necessary only to remind some details.

The first live session was very interesting and impressive.I received good impressions from my colleagues.They are very clever and interesting.I got new experience.I like our helpful and kind facilitators.Thank you.

Now I know more about reflection, I used to think that it takes a lot of time. It turns out not, 1-2 minutes is enough for me. I will look for ways to introduce it to my lessons so that it is interesting and effective.

This session was interesting and useful. I was impressed by creative collegues, much new information and new platform. It was very difficult to overcome shyness because I had some problems with Internet and I didn't know how to use Jamboard. I had never used it before. It was a new experience for me. Thanks to our tutors for helping and all participants.

The first live session was interesting, inspiring and useful for me. This meeting with new people, friendly communication, using break-out rooms for discussing, new tools and reviewing previous experience became a good beginning of the course.
I hope, this introduction to the programme gave us a great feeling of a big team of professionals and supporting from our facilitators. It is really great that people feel free to share experiences, to listen to others and grow professionaly.

1. The discussion with other colleagues and our facilitators has been very interesting and alive today. It has allowed me to get involved with colleagues' ideas and best practice. I have enjoyed a group task in the breakout room, when we have been asked to discuss 3 models of reflective practice and we've identified 3 features which are common to all the models.
2. I used, use and will use all three learning cycles, but I have never heard their names and stages. Thanks for this new information and explanation during the session!
3. I would like to know more about shifting reflection, because when we've been given a task to make 2 questions shifted from teacher-centered to learner-centered and learning-centered, it' s been difficult for me to understand. So in the evening I have found some information about it and have read it. The information, which I've read, has been useful for me. I have been motivated to read about shifting reflection.
''Learning without reflection is a waste. Reflection without learning is dangerous'', Confucius said. That's why it is important for a teacher to share the benefits of giving students voice and choice in their learning environment. And of course it's very important for a student, because the process of reflection is a process, where students describe their learning, how it changed, and how it might relate to future learning experience.

Rose: I've fully enjoyed of your lecture today.
I've found you to be supportive and friendly facilitators. You've listened to every idea and every opinion's had the chance to exist.
You've reminded us what implementation is, what differentiation is and how important to remember about them, etc.
Thorn: It's been difficult to find differentiation by something, even when I've said, I haven't been sure of the correctness of what has been said.

Rose: Comparison of primary and secondary learners was very fruitful thing, especially visualization in Jamboard which showed their similar and different features very clearly.

Thorn: Some difficulties in understanding terms in the right way, but it's normal. Studying without issues is impossible.

Bud: I got some new ideas for my future lessons and realized that need to find more information about differentiation by support.

Bud : Differentiation is not a simple process. It's more demanding than " one size fits all" teaching.

Rose: I am grateful to the organizers and participants of this session. It was wonderful to recall my school years to once again clearly imagine how important it is to understand the interests, needs and passions of today's students. Our discussions had a powerful brainstormings and important communication with talented colleagues to share experiences.
Thorns: We had time to discuss quite a lot in the formed microgroups in the breakout rooms regarding the set tasks, but we always felt a lack of time, probably because everyone had something to say, confirmed by practical examples
Bud: I have been using the differentiated approach in education for a long time and consider it effective, but I understand that the issue of applying the practice of interaction and collaboration between students with different levels of language skills and students with special educational needs should be studied more deeply, especially strategies and tools.

Rock: It was worth and important to understand standards and curricula, of course, it's pleasant to feel confidence in the discussing questions especially core skills for students-centered teaching.
The idea of core competencies encourages modern companies to experiment with new ideas and become more innovative. This increases diversity and enables corporations to reach their full potential. Since we are trying to prepare our students for successful future we should start it at our lessons today;and we remember the privilege of foreign languages competence is one of the reasons, too.

Leaf: as for this session, it's only my technical problems and weak internet connection.

So what To reread notes and documents once again cause smth. that is given by nothing ( we all use lesson plannig from teacher's books... )can be understood as meaningful after spending time on it.

Contextualisation is putting language items into a meaningful and real context rather than being treated as isolated items of language for language manipulation practice only. Contextualising language tries to give real communicative value to the language that learners meet.
Rather than teach for the abstract or theoretical world, using contextual learning strategies helps prepare students to take on real-world challenges that they face.
Contextual Learning is very important because: it highlights problem-solving ; understands the need for teaching and learning in many contexts - home, community, and work sites. It helps students to become independent learners
because allows to learn from each other and together in a team. Using contextual learning in the classroom does not involve new tools; it involves new teaching styles and strategies. Teachers can maximize the outcomes of this type of learning. We can learn how to implement Contextual learning through professional development; and this development will equip with necessary tools and help to use the theory of contextual learning into classroom-specific practices.
Thank you for interesting materials and for emphasizing certain aspects of the question. I think I will reread my notes and pages of the Module to be able to put into practice what was discussed in this session.

What? I have learned a lot of useful information in an exciting way as usual.

The story about monster focused us on the problem of teaching. But we understood:” No monster will prevent us from teaching a child if we want to”.

The metaphor pictures (which we needed to describe in groups) were really cool and we shared our ideas, which were different.

It was interesting to work with a plan and to study Contextualising learning, to trace the connections of the parts and elements of Contextualising learning and finally to find and to present one evidence of that connection.

It was nice to work in a pair during the session.

So what? Contextualized Teaching is a “diverse family of instructional strategies designed to more seamlessly link the learning of foundational skills and academic or occupational content by focusing teaching and learning squarely on concrete applications in a specific context that is of interest to the student.

Contextual Learning is an instructional strategy that:

Actively involves the learner in the learning process

Combines content and context; all learning is applied knowledge

Employs authentic materials and authentic assessment

Now what? I am going to use Contextualising learning and to think more about differentiation.

The most difficult task for me today was to find the pros and cons of Forward and backward planning while working with the board. To be honest, I was very upset, 😑😒 but after completing the task, my colleagues told me how they understood it.😉 The facilitators once again explained the difference between Forward and backward planning and everything fell into place! 🤗Thank you for your understanding and support!🥰🥰🥰

The most difficult was the task about the advantages and disadvantages of forward/backward planning. I understand the difference but never really thought about the pros and cons. Even now, after many discussions and explanations, I am hesitating a little bit. I think everything depends on the class and the personality of the teacher.

The most challenging moment during the session was participation in such a flipped classroom activity based on our flipped tasks. How to use flipped classroom for mixed-ability class was my first priority to know about. I think that finding the balance in teaching ( when we simplify tasks or make them more comlicated) sometimes is not easy for me. Be understanable and interesting in what you are teach is hard task. Sometimes we forget that students know less than we are. Sometimes we are getting tired to explain again and again the same things. So good examples, advises of facilitators, cool presentations based in logical oreder ( I'd like to watch them again and again to remember all the details ), sharing experience with teachers is a great experience. The most powerful moments were devoted to opportunities which modern approaches give us and advantages of the possibility to change attitude of students to their learning, adding confidence, support and understanding.
Students will have better results and depper knowledge. And I'm sure it can improve their skills and give them extra motivation.

OMI: I am going to study Bloom's Taxonomy more. I heard about it, something used, of course. But I need to read and to learn more. I will give the students the freedom to make up the questions, using Bloom's Taxonomy.

The EAST: It was a great opportunity to work with the collegues
The South: I have a clear idea of what needs to be done and how.
The WEST: I'm worried about the beginning of the creating blueprint for the new year.
North: I would like to improve how to make learning outcomes.

East: excited about work in a tiny but supportive group, thanks personally Anna Hryn for brilliant ideas; West: I worried for nothing because I always felt a helping hand of my collegues and facilitators; North: make and save notes in order not to forget the most brilliant ideas; South: even "a huge monster" doesn't seem to be so scary when you work in such a collaborative team

the East. i was excited to work in great team while merry go round activity. Only positive emotions are left.
The West.To define overall learning outcomes for the topic can be more challenging than doing it for one particular lesson.Be specific, do not write extra inf. only main aspects ...
The North. Now I can develop my own planning.
The South. I think now we all are able to contextualise learning and plan beyond the lesson.

East: I’m excited about having one more chance to enjoy creativity and collaboration working in a team. West: I’m worried if my new inspiration and readiness to teach that I feel right now remain until I meet my students again. North: I ‘m going to use everything I’ve learned about teaching blueprint while making plans for the new school year. South:I have received a great set of tools and and now it’s up to me to use them wisely for the benefit of my students and that of my own.

I promise myself to keep life learning; start implementing new techniques I've learned during the course; stop concentrating for a long at my mistakes, but make a conclusion and move ahead.

I will keep moving ahead to successful teaching using all the new ideas I’ve got during the training. I will start practicing reflection and feedback on a regular basis to help the learners improve and notice their progress. I will stop worrying about planning as I have a good strategy of how to make it. Thanks a lot for all pleasant moments during the course. I was really glad to meet talented and inspiring colleagues and have an opportunity to collaborate and share experiences with them. My special thanks to Natalia and Victoria who managed to organise us into a powerful team, were always ready to support each of us, and could make all our fears and worries dissappear. The EAST: This session was one of the most vivid , I think, it's because of the activity ("Merry -go-round" was a great idea) and the fact that we discussed useful and practical things for our teaching experience that we learnt in course.
Dear colleagues, you are awesome!
The WEST: They say, difficulties always happen right before breakthroughs; that 's why do, make efforts and be successful.
The NORTH: I need to read the main documents and some materials of the course again.
The SOUTH: I've started to think about improvement of my blueprints for the 5th graders in order to have enough time to look for the best activities and ways of teaching. This session gave me more confidence and good "teaching hacks" from colleagues' experience .
