Social media is everywhere today, with almost everyone using it. I think it's totally changed how we talk to each other. Websites like Instagram and TikTok mostly use pictures and videos, which I think can make people feel bad about how they look. Some studies show that using social media a lot can make teens, especially girls, feel more anxious and sadder (Katella, 2024). But social media also lets people who don't always get heard share their ideas. I think this is a good thing about it. Fake news spreads really fast on social media, and that can cause big problems (Pew Research Center, 2024). I think the companies that run these websites should do more to stop this. Social media can be great for staying connected and making changes in the world, but I think we need to be careful about how we use it (Pew Research Center, 2024)
