Percy Jackson is a misfit from all the other kids he has a hard time learning and everything bad always seems to happen to him. He gets sent to a camp called Camp Half Blood. He finds out that he is a half blood and son of Poseidon. He gets sent on a quest with his friends Grover a Satyr and Annabeth child of Athena. Their mission is to find Zeus master bolt. They go though hard challenges to find the bolt though in the end they end up finding the master bolt and giving to Zeus.

The Connect in this book is Text to World because throughout the book Percy struggles with monsters trying to kill him. Zeus is accusing Percy of taking his lightning bolt, and He attempted to kill Percy at the end of the book.

The lesson learned is that Percy learns to trust himself and others and to trust people even though he can be very hard headed and do what he wants to do and not listen to other people.

The external conflict is that Percy's quest given by the gods is to find Zeus master bolt and return it to him. Percy was allowed to bring two friends on the quest and chose Annabeth and Grover. Through out this quest Percy goes though many challenges with some of them being facing the most powerful monsters. In the end he succeeds and returns the master bolt.

The internal conflict in this book is that Percy struggles with accepting his new identity as a half-blood. Percy also struggles with thinking that his father does not love him and does not want to be in his life. Though it is proved wrong at the end of the book when he saves Percy's life.
