One of my favourite bands is The Libertines. The 'indie rock' and 'garage rock revival' band from London consists of Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, Gary Powell, and John Hassall. The band signed to Rough Trade records then much later on signed to Virgin EMI. Even though they formed in 1997, they only really made it big in the early 2000's.

The Libertines are one of my favourite bands because they were different and relatable to our generation. Their Lyrics are artistic and poetic and they have meaning. I also love what the band were all about and the 'fandom' that they created. Also the best gigs I have ever been to.

Another one of my favourite bands is Oasis. the 'british rock' and 'britpop' band from Manchester were previously called 'The Rain', before Noel Gallagher joined the band after being sacked from being a roadie for The Inspiral Carpets. They formed in 1991 and signed to Creation Records in 1993. Alan McGee the owner of Creation Records discovered Oasis at a gig at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut club in Glasgow, Scotland.
Oasis consisted of Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Paul 'Bonehead' Arthers, Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll.
Later on in the years Guigsy and McCarroll were replaced by Andy Bell and Alan White. During the active years of Oasis, Brothers Noel and Liam were prone to having fights and arguments. They kept splitting up and reforming, however they last split up in 2009.
