“This conference will be an historic event for all those who participate in the life and mission of the Church and our schools,” said CESA’s director Dr Neil McGoran.


“It is the first time we have organised something of this size and with such a broad agenda. We will explore a range of topics related to education and the opportunities and challenges we all face in today’s world.


“We want to explore the essence of a Catholic education and what we mean when we say that it integrates faith, life, learning and culture.”

We really resonated with the quote “live your life like it’s the first time...”. It was good to laugh and cry as it had meaning and relevance - we shouldn’t forget to laugh with the kids. If we have a bad day, we have to move forward.  

The opening prayer and indigenous welcoming was a captivating performance and a great start to the day. 

It was great to see other teachers and network with the catholic teaching community. Although some more time to do this would have been valuable. 

The history about catholic education was a bit too lengthy. How did this really connect to the day’s vision?

Whilst it was projected as Live, Lead and Learn, the overall message might have been lost? 

We were grateful for the lunch and snack options. 

Could the day have been more interactive? We don’t expect children to sit down for long periods, so why were we? 

The duration of the day was a bit lengthy.

Found it inspirational and motivating. 
An excellent opening and Karen Moore was very uplifting. Was a shame we could not hear Kent Hoffman very well as I think his work is amazing and would have really liked to have heard what he was teaching.
I love his theory of the child being the centre of their universe and think a lot can be learnt from this way of thinking.
I left feeling like I was part of a welcoming and embracing community.
