Ti Punch means "small punch," it is a rum drink that is especially popular in Guadeloupe and other French-speaking Caribbean islands.

The drink is traditionally made with white rhum agricole, lime, and cane sugar.

It is served as an apéritif before starting a meal, both as a matter of tradition and because the drink itself is strongly alcoholic.
A popular tradition is that of “chacun prépare sa propre mort” - each prepares his own death. Instead of serving the mixed drink, the host will simply put out the ingredients, and everyone will prepare the drink according to his or her own taste. Another explanation – if you pour a drink for your guest, how do you know his perfect portion? If you pour too little or too much you will not please your guest.

In Germany there is a wide range of bread, about 300 sorts. Especially dark and wholemeal bread are popular in our region. We eat it for breakfast, for dinner but also for lunch with stew.
This one is one of my favorite self-made breads, baked in a fireplace stove. Ingredients are among others sourdough, rye flour, spelt flour, grape seed flour, honey and roasted nuts.

Baci means kisses. They are delicious pralines with hazelnut on top. They are not common chocolate cakes: we give them to our beloved on various celebrations. In particular on St Valentine’s Day they are the special present between fiancées, in fact you may give just one Bacio as a special symbol. What makes them so special is that inside you’ll find a quote from world’s literature about love in each praline.
Why are we bringing Baci Perugina to you?
Because we are starting our course just on Valentine’s Day!

I would like to prepare "Quarkeulchen", quite difficult to pronounce for foreigners, but actually it's as sweet food for lunch, based on potatos, quark and sometimes raisins. Germans love potatos ;) Normally we eat some hearty meals for lunch, but especially in Saxony (the region in the east of Germnay, where I come from) we eat somtimes something sweet for lunch, so it is a typical saxon recipe. Normally you put some sugar on it or some apple sauce.
I love it, when my grandma made some of them.

We hope we can prepare a Greek salad if we will be able to find some feta cheese on the island. Light, tasty and with sun kissed flavors, we hope to offer to the team this summer screaming dish which includes tomatoes, onions, cucumber, feta cheese, oregano, maybe some capers and olives, red vinegar and olive oil with a pinch of salt.
