      <description>Based in Chicago, Jamie Thorsen served as Managing Director of Foreign Exchange (FX) Products for many years with BMO Capital Markets. Having earned her BS in psychology at Denison University and studied abroad at the University of London, Jamie Thorsen joined the firm in 1977 and worked her way to positions of responsibility. She managed the China Capital Markets group and the Global Foreign Exchange Group.

Ms. Thorsen held direct oversight for all personnel and income generated by eight global offices that operated 24/7, six days a week. Building the business to a number one competitive ranking when it came to the Canadian dollar, she was active with the Management, Performance and Investment Banking Executive Committees. She also co-chaired the Diversity Committee and served as chair of the Pension Benefits Investment Committee. Her leadership responsibilities extended to serving on the Harris Bank Foundation for 16 years.

Ms. Thorsen’s achievements extend to serving as a member of the self regulatory body, the Foreign Exchange Committee of the NY Federal Reserve, from 1995 to 2012. The longest serving member and only female professional on the Committee, she equally led the Operations Committee.

Being longtime jewelry making enthusiast, Jamie Thorsen owns Seeforever Designs Jewelry. She is also passionate about skiing and scuba diving with a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.</description>
