Was supposed to go to Yale University

Takes her several months before she contacts her family again since she ran off

Ends up being manipulated by Rogerson but doesn’t want to admit to it because she still “loves” him

Totally neglects all parts of her past life after she gets into a relationship with Rogerson 

Later on wants to forget the person Rogerson made her so she can be her own self again with no drugs, smoking or abuse but to have good times and friends back

Rogerson Vs. Caitlin 

Rogerson becomes very manipulative over Caitlin 

He always has to know where she is, what she’s doing and who she is with 

He never lets Caitlin be with anyone else as he is in fear of her leaving him 

Rogerson grow very impatient with Caitlin is she’s late and he has to wilt for her

It ends up while Rogerson slapping Caitlin across the face but he never feels sorry for a while

It comes to a point were Caitlin has a 24 hour safe time because he feels sorry for hurting her but once the time is over she is in risk of being slapped again 

Cailtin then never wears anything but long sleeves an sweatshirts to hide the bruises and then totally avoids much contact with anyone else in fear of anyone finding out what had happened 

In the end, Rogerson goes too far that he gets caught

Caitlin has been transferred to Evergreen rehabilitation center after the incident 

Caitlin is sent there after her mother catches Rogerson beating her up so that cailtin can then get back onto her feet and worry less 

Every visiting time someone she knows well shows up so they can slowly reconnect 

Caitlin ends up ripping the picture she took of herself before she left home, due to being disgusted with who she was and to but the past away and move forward

Terms slowly go back to what it was like before Rogerson was even in Caitlin’s life

It all started when Caitlin’s mom and neighbor came up the grand idea of joining a photography class to get them all back together 

During this photography class they are assigned to create a collage of pictures of whatever you wish but Cailtin ends up getting pictures of people’s true personalities 

It all started with a woman staring in to the freezer at a grocery store with the cold seen behind her 

Cailtin ends up getting photos of almost everyone’s she’s close with in which she realizes that all of the photos show everyone’s personalities perfectly 

 As she goes through the pictures she realizes that Rogerson has a very blank but angry face towards Caitlin with a very dull background which shocks her because it reflects how he actually is perfectly 

Before Caitlin goes to rehab she take a picture of her worn out, crippling self as a reminder to work to not be that girl again

Throughout the times that Rogerson becomes abusive, Caitlin realizes there is actually a time were she can count being safe 

This time only happens within 24 hours of the last attack and once that time is over she is at risk yet again 

During this grace time she can count on him loving her and feeling safe with him for a while only because he feels sorry for what he had done 

Where they can cuddle, kiss and be a loving couple for a while yet again 

But once the time is over she mentally prepares herself for another hitting 

The main reason these attacks happen is because he had to wait for her for a little while when he had to pick her up even tho he always he always expected her to be there when ever he showed up anywhere

Dreamland by Sarah Dressen, officially takes the place of my favorite novel read yet. That’s saying a lot for one who usually doesn’t prefer to read. Anyways, this novel always had me wanting to read more due to the large amounts of suspense and just wanting to know what would happen next. At the same time this novel really frustrated me because of what was actually happening between Caitlin and Rogerson. Throughout the novel I just wanted to jump in and help Caitlin realize it’s she needs to leave him but obviously I can’t do that.
