After studying Leigh Hodgkinson’s artwork, students created their own bunny collages based on the print of Leigh’s that you see below.  Through the simple design of the bunny, students created adorable bunnies with great personalities. It’s the perfect short project to welcome Spring!

Springtime Movement and Lines

Slowly and meticulously drawn, the repeated lines around each shape show movement in this artwork.  Students added color to their shapes to create emphasis in the work as well. Artists try to include movement and emphasis, two elements of design, in their work to catch someone’s attention. It is certainly hard to walk by these and not see them.  It’s a fun way to welcome Spring!
