It pushed the red foam out of the volcano like lava!

⸻

👀 Term: Observation

Definition:

Children observed the bubbling foam, listened to the fizzing sound, and got excited watching the “lava” erupt from the volcano!

⸻

🧪 Materials Used:

	•	Plastic bottle (hidden inside the volcano shape)

	•	Baking soda

	•	Vinegar

	•	Red food coloring

	•	Dish soap (for extra foam)

	•	Cardboard, play dough or clay (to form the volcano)

⸻

🧠 What Children Learned:

	•	Cause and effect

	•	Basics of a chemical reaction

	•	How gas can cause movement

	•	Using senses to explore (see, hear, touch)

⸻

🌈 Suggested Padlet Title:

“SCIENCE IN ACTION: OUR VOLCANO ERUPTION!”
