SITUATION
The students have faced a few problems especially in their college. Since a few months ago, the student have difficulties to have a shower especially in the morning due to the water disruption which had not been resolved yet. This cause the students to come late to class as they need to take a shower at the other college blocks.

Besides that, the student also face difficulties in completing their assignments due to the bad wifi connection. Not only that, it affects the students in submitting their assignments on time, unable to join online class due to the lagging connection and many more. The fastest solution for the student in the time being is by subscribing personal internet plan for this purpose.

On the other hand, the faculty has electrical disruption sometimes such as short circuit. The student also feel uncomfortable having class face-to-face due to the malfunction of the air conditioner in the class. Although the problem does not happen frequently, but it will still affect the learning process in term of lecturers and students as it is not very conducive.   

Hence, this issue is raised by the student represantative in order to acknowledge the higher ups to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

PART B:
As we know, UTM students are allowed to bring their own vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles and even bicycles. THIS CAUSES PARKING PROBLEMS FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF. WHILE SOME USE THE UTM PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. This can help students to go to classes more quickly and comfortably and teach them to be more independent. In addition, students who live close to their respective faculties can walk from the college directly to class using a pedestrian. This means that roads are an important aspect for students to move from one area to another. However, we are aware that there are some roads in UTM that are not safe to use, especially due to potholes, obstacles along the road, and heavy rain that has been happening lately. FURTHERMORE, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE CAN ALSO BE A PROBLEM. This problem has a bad effect especially on motorcycle and bicycle riders who want to go to class or when using the road inside UTM. Therefore, there are several issues that have been reported by students regarding road safety problems in UTM.

3. - Discuss the solutions to overcome these issues (UTM/ HARTA BINA) 
 cut down old trees, especially those on the side of the road and parking lot. In addition, carrying out work on deepening the river and cleaning and enlarging drains on the main roads within UTM. Last but not least, paving a new road because covering the pothole alone is not enough. It will only cause the road to becoming potholed again.

In this age of rapid modernisation and globalization, citizens of each country suffer from an economic crisis and Malaysia is no exception. A series of chronic and mutually reinforcing global shocks — the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine had brought catastrophic results, battering the world economy in 2022 and even 2023. Such disasters include food and energy crises, surging inflation, unstable financial markets, piling debt, as well as the climate emergency. In fact, the ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in a spillover effect on Malaysia with escalating prices in fuel and food, which are fundamental commodities of Malaysians. With the increased cost of living, more families, especially those whose businesses were drastically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are placed under great stress which subjects them unimaginable psychological damage out of fear of getting by with their lives.  




With the implementation of the lockdown due to COVID-19, the development and application of IoT make society able to shop, purchase, pay bills, and update IC’s or passports online, reducing the long queue at the physical office. However, it provides scammers the opportunity to search and prey on their victims in dire times with most people falling for these few well known scams like job scams, investment scams, Macau scams and love scams conducted by either locally or overseas. Fraud indirectly causes mental health issues in society due to the depression of losing a huge sum of their hard-earned money and has a lot of impact on the government. If such a heinous act is left unchecked, the reputation of businesses which drive a country’s economy would plummet leading to political instability. Fraud also undermines the government’s ability to provide services and achieve desired results due to the wariness of citizens out of fear of being the next potential victim to scams. Money and services are diverted away from those in need, and the services provided may be subpar or dangerous.

Part B : SITUATION

In recent times, much advancement and renovation are being made to the facilities in the campus of University Technology of Malaysia (UTM). However, one basic facility and  perhaps the most crucial one of all is being left behind and not given much importance too which is the overall quality and cleanliness of the multiple dining  facilities in UTM. 

The dining facilities available in UTM such as the arcades, cafes and dining halls are know for their lack of cleanliness and hygiene. This includes and covers all areas such as the food preparation area as in the kitchen, the dining area, waste collection section as well as the toilets. As a result, they have been multiple reports of severe food poisoning cases between the students in UTM and they are very much reoccurring. The reason behind this is said to be the attraction of insects and animals that contaminate the food that is being consumed due to the poor hygiene management. 

Another issue is the lack of healthy food options available in the dining facilities. Many students would say that the provided options are high in calories, fat and sugar and low in essential nutrients. This lack of healthy food options can have significant negative impacts on health and well being of students. The is due to the limited budget and resources available to cater for a large number of university students. Additionally many students have diverse dietary needs and preferences which can be hard to accommodate. 

Last but not least, the issue of capacity is very concerning at the arcades available. This issue was brought up due to many students have to depend on food delivery apps or have to exit utm to have their lunch and dinner. As we know that eateries outside utm are quite expensive and also they have to pay for their travelling cost, this has caused budget issues among the students. All the students have the same break time which is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and certainly arcades in the near vicinity of their  respective faculties can contain thousands of students. Also, the eateries in the arcade would not be able to cope up with the number of students at the same time. Which causes delay in preparation of food and waiting time for the students.

PART B: 
The issue was raised because of complaints regarding animal problems around the college. The college is supposed to be a safe place for students, but due to the college being built around wild animal habitats, many wild animals, such as monkeys, snakes, wild boars, and wasps spotted roaming around the college area and causing safety and cleanliness problems to the residents. The problem occurs when animals like monkeys cannot find a source of food in their natural habitat and start to search for food in the college, especially in the garbage area and resident's room. They will cause a big mess and sometimes will attack people if they feel threatened. Residents would often enter their rooms and find some of their items have been stolen, and their room becomes a mess. Furthermore, on hot-blazing days, cold-blooded animals like snakes will find damp places to rest. These area can be in places near people, such as in the drain and toilet, thus increasing the risk of residents being bitten by venomous snakes.

Other than that, not only wild animals are causing problems in college areas. Stray animals like cats and dogs also cause several hygiene problems the college residents. The uncontrolled breeding of stray cats causes an increase in the number of cats around the college. This result in poor cleanliness of the college because these stray cats and dogs will defecate and urinate in places like the corridor, stairs, and even on shoes. They will also disturb people eating in the food court and left an unpleasant smell that makes people lose their appetite.

PART B:
Illegal immigrants are not a new problem in Malaysia. In fact, it has existed since before independence and has become a major concern for the government to provide them with basic necessities such as shelter and other requirements prescribed by international human rights law. For these unauthorized immigrants, Malaysia has traditionally served as a source of revenue or a gold mine. 

The issue was raised since illegal immigrants in Malaysia cause us several issues. One of the most visible issues is the sharp rise in crime rates, such as burglary and theft. This will inevitably occur when foreigners become unemployed and unable to cover their living expenses, particularly during times of economic difficulty in the country.

Following that, it is generally believed that the influx of foreign workers will endanger our country's economy. This is due to the fact that the issue of high monthly outflows of the national currency will be detrimental to the country in terms of currency exchange, which could be carried out easily, quickly, and affordably. Aside from that, the government would have to incur a high cost in order to detain illegal immigrants within a day.

In conclusion, we can no longer tolerate the illegal immigrant problem. The government must take proactive steps to decrease the number of illegal immigrants in Malaysia.

Nowadays,  many students like to drive to UTM by their own transportation. With the increasing number of private cars, the problem of parking space is becoming more prominent. Most of the students were affected by the parking problem, such as getting summons or finding alternative transportation like Grab etc.

Furthermore, some students were given tickets by school security for parking which happened during rush hour. Many students have to drive to school because they live too far away from school. If they choose to take taxis, the high cost of taxi fares will make them unaffordable.
However, the most difficult time to find a parking space is around 8 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m., and when many students take exams.
Therefore, the majority of students want to ask the top management to solve the problem by complaining to the UTM College representative.

Another issue is regarding the transportation in UTM, such as the bus that is provided for students. The bus schedule is usually not on time which makes students wait a couple of times. This could be affected the students who have the next class in a different building. They might be late/miss the next class. On the other hand, the frequency of the bus in UTM also becomes one of the problems for the students in UTM is quite a lot. To explain, during the rainy times, the bus that comes to pick up students is only 1 bus, and the students have no other choice because they need to take the bus due to the bad weather. International students that don't have their own transportation are harder to go back to their colleges. In the end, they need to take Grab/Online taxis, which will consume a lot of money.

In conclusion, parking and transportation issues become a big deal for students, and the management of UTM should find a way to solve it.
