An electromagnetic wave can transport energy without a medium which means it can transfer through not only air and solid but also through vacuum space, the example of an electromagnetic wave such as microwaves and gamma-rays. Especially gamma-ray, the most energetic radiation, is produced by the hottest regions of the universe, violent events as a supernova explosion, and even destruction of atoms.

Gamma-rays travel a great distance through the air or other material and even can pass through living things like human tissues or inside the cell. That will be much possible that gamma-rays will damage our body health by influencing the construction of the bodies or event changing or effecting on human’s DNA. Ionizing radiation is radiation that can remove electrons from an atom and can be in the form of a wave, like gamma rays or X-rays. Gamma-rays can pass through the cell directly and will prevent the DNA from replicating correctly in three ways: first, Changing the chasmal structure of the bases. and then breaking the sugar-phosphate backbone, and the last one will be breaking the H bonds connecting the case pairs. And further, these three ways will lead to DNA lesions and DNA mutations. All in all, it means that gamma-ray can get into human's cell, and destroy our DNA. When DNA gets destroy, then the cell is no longer be used. So, if a person get close to gamma-ray, and it destroys his DNA, then the person may die.

The trend of using electronics normally will increase the production of gamma-rays which will damage our human health. Probably, there will be more variable human diseases happening under the exposure of gamma-rays. Gamma-rays may cause cancer, because how cancer comes is that, cells divide uncontrollably and spread into surrounding tissues. Cancer is caused by changes in DNA.
