I changed my major a few times..from Speech Pathology to Occupational Therapy to Counseling. Going into Temple Undecided was a good idea, because I probably would have changed it even more if I had the first two years to do so, but instead I focused on my core classes and realized I fell in love with Psychology! Counseling gives me a chance to use all of these things while working with a client. I also loved being the friend or girlfriend that was always told, "you're a great friend, you always know what to say." I like to think I can give good advice when necessary and this seems like a good characteristic to have if your becoming a counselor. I tried working other jobs like becoming a TSS and random receptionist positions. However, being a single mom with a child, I noticed serving made the most sense because I could make my own schedule and it made me the most money$$$....
