There are many different types of guisos, some are chicken, others are chicharron or rib-eye. They come in these packs and then you can store them in a freezer for as long as you like, that way it does not spoil and it can last a long time. Then you can just take it out whenever you want to eat it and you just unfreeze it and put it in a pan. I believe this product has a good design, and it is very functional and easy to use. My cousin got this idea when he was on a ranch looking at nature and trying to make a change in the food market. Some problems he had were making many orders of one product because if you cook in very large quantities the recipe can have small changes that make the product change. It was also difficult to find different providers that did not charge too much or too little so that there could be profitable but also so that the product was not very expensive and so it had good quality. These problems were solved by trial and error and looking for other providers and external opinions. This product evolved over time by reducing the number of products to the ones that were the best selling guisos, and the products that were bought the most were the small packages so that was also changed.

Santiago Chavez started to sell cookies because it is something that he enjoyes doing and he knew that he would get money if he sold them. His main inspiration was his self because he wanted to do cookies but he did not have anybody to eat them and the materials were getting expensive. He started selling cookies that are different from the ones that he has now, he has found innovative ways to make his cookies like putting an oreo in the middle of the chocolate chip cookie. Santiago also likes to visit other cookie doors so that he can learn from the competition and be able to make his cookies be the best. There have been many people that have tried to make and sell their own cookies but very few were as successful as Santiago. He used to sell them at school where he would usually take 60 cookies and sell out, but because of covid the demand for cookies decreased that's why he is planning on expanding using social media, with a platform like instagram.

Santiago Cantu

Enviaflores is an online website and application where you can buy gifts, such as flowers, chocolate, teddy bears, etc. and send them to the person of your choosing. It first started as a small business in the year 2001, just as the internet was starting to gain popularity. The founder initially came up with the idea because he believed that it could be pretty useful to have a website that delivers products of your choosing. He ended up choosing flowers because he was currently in a relationship and it was something he would enjoy if it was possible.

Since the internet was relatively new, he managed to gain a head start and learned a lot about the internet way before others. Little by little his company began to grow as internet became more famous, until 2007 when he quit his main job and turned this business into his full time job. Due to his previous work experience, he managed to bring his knowledge into this Enviaflores and used what he had previously learned to improve.

He began developing more products, expanding from more than just flowers into chocolates and jewellery. He believed that it took more than just a good product to have a succesfull company, as many have that; what he belied was just as important was Convenience and service. This service was an example of converting an industry of product, the flower industry which used to depend on the quality of the flower, into an industry which now depended on the service. Through trial and error and client feedback, he managed to grow this small side-buisness into a large and innovative company.

Pixie Jewelry is an independent, online small-business that began as an idea to educate people about hand-crafted products. The owner always liked making things with her hands, and thinks that if you give someone something that was made by hand it is more special than something made by machine. The owner started off by selling her first product to her family and friends first, and after seeing its early success decided to expand to online platforms like Instagram.

"It makes me very happy when people like the things I make; when they appreciate the time and effort I put into my products."
- Ana Pau, the owner

They started out making only rings out of bronze, silver and gold plate, with different designs and center stones. However, they have recently expanded their products to include necklaces and earrings, as the market for those is big right now. Their aim with their products is to provide a more rustic and natural feel to appeal to younger people. Every ring and necklace is hand made artistically, which adds value to anyone that enjoys those types of products.

Pound is a local burger shop. In this burger shop they make their own bread for buns and they produce a large amount of high quality burgers daily. Whenever you go order, you always get the same consistent quality. While talking to the owner. They stated that they focus on quality a lot. They once even threw away a bunch of buns because they didn't meet the quality they were looking for. I decided to pick this shop because I am a regular buyer and I really enjoy their burgers. The owner says that they started off cooking burgers in their back yard and began selling locally. at first it wasn't even meant to be a business. But as more and more people enjoyed the burgers. He decided to start selling in a shop. Before the pandemic, pound was not very popular. People went there from time to time but it took a while for it to take off. Once it did however, they were getting hundreds of burger orders every day. What I think pound teaches us is that not all businesses and products come by design. some can come by accident
