1. This first week went really well, with only one major road bump in the submission process for this project (I couldn't get access to the group selection; however, I eventually got it). The online platform was not very challenging, yet required some effort to get used to again. This was because there was clear instruction and easy-to-understand work, as well as the fact that I am very familiar with this type of work and the self-motivation it requires. I feel that Mr. Burr did a great job, and my problem was not created by anything he did, but rather something I did (however, he helped me through it via email).
2. The most valuable thing I learned this week was how to work with iMovie, given that it is a valuable piece of technology that I can now use for both this class and as a hobby in the future.
3. The Skillshare tutorials were very helpful and filled with the information I needed to be successful. I also liked that they were very neat and comprehensive; however, I did not like the fact that they became monotonous after the sixth video (lectures can get boring after focusing on them for a certain period of time-hence, it is an unavoidable problem).
4. I enjoyed doing this Capture a Location Project, since it was appropriately difficult for the first week and fun to film. I thought that the editing and the filming of my video went very well, since it was done smoothly and without many errors. However, I thought that the submission could have gone better, as I did have problems (that no longer exist, thankfully).
5. I do feel that I have a basic understanding of iMovie and shooting video on my phone, given that I could film a particular shot well and without much trouble, as well as that I could insert, process, and create a movie using the tools in iMovie. I also think that I can improve on these basic skills and continue to develop as a filmmaker, as long as I continue to work in this class.
