The first quote is when Jeannette is trying to help her mother and she's so self conceited that she completely changes topic and doesn't except the fact that she needs change. The second quote shows how Rose is so selfish that she starts to say to Jeannette that her hobbies are better than her getting a job and being civil. </div>]]></description>
