1- Using web 2 tools is just amazing and engaging. Since our students have prejudice on writing , this type of teaching method makes them more relaxed and volunteer for writing. That is also important to keep the students name hidden while they are working so they will not be judged what they are writing.
2- I have noticed that making writing as simple as possible will be motivating for students to write that is what snack writing demands. Even they write a single sentence with 3 words will be OK for the first time. Then it may be more complicated in the upcoming events. However ,that is also necessary to give the students a feedback for their mistakes.
3- I guess snack writing was remarked by most of us since that is more student-friendly type.

1- Many take aways for today. But my favourite ones are :
Classroom memory game, someone like me , my perfect day and onion rings.

2- Because they don't need much preparation that makes these activities time saving . These activities also provide the students to engage them actively. They are applicable for all grades.

3- I am going to use them not only for my students in class but also for the adults learners in my courses.

Welcome to the course! Yes, snack writing is really easy and beneficial. To make it more motivating you can make it collaborative and give it a clear communicative purpose - for example, students write each each other messages or letters.

Good takeaways! These are great formats that make speaking and listening more communicative and learner-centred. A great advantage is that they are materials-free, but they do require preparation and planning, it's a good idea to plan in detail how you will set up these activities and deliver instructions and what potential problems might happen.

1-I think we will be seeing many difficulties in listening and speaking skills in the PLCs. One of the biggest one would be the student's fear of speaking.

2- These are the major challanges we face during the classes.
* Fear of speaking
* Fear of making mistakes
* Prejudice in these skills
* Lack of structural and vocabulary knowledge
* Students not having a change to practice more in the class

3- Creating a relaxing atmosphere , Using the web tools when necessary ,not correcting the mistakes immediately , tolarate some mistakes and focusing on the fluency are my take aways for today's lessons.

1- There are many take aways for todays as the previous days. If I need to sort them ;
*Postie game
*Skimming - Scanning for reading
*Reading for gist
*Flipped learning
The biggest turnabout for me is learning silent reading proceeds to reading aloud. In silent reading , we just focus on the meaning , not pronunciation or something else.

2- Flipped learning is a question mark for me since it may not be applicable into our classes easily. With higher levels or adult groups , it deserves trying .

3- I am planning to show and use flipped learning method in my PLC groups. I am going to give a task to be prepared before the next PLC session. Then ,I will be participating to the group while they are acting as facilitators in the following session. That may possibly create an atmosphere that we can exchange ideas eagerly.

1)Explicit grammer presentation is common in my area since teachers find it easier. Evaluation is also easy beacuse you can realize immediately which ss get the idea or not. But of course we need to use implicit method,it’s a student centered method.

2) I think, I’ll try to persuade local teachers to use more implicit grammer presentation. I know, it’s a bit tiring for teachers since they have to be prepared before the lesson. Ss take parts actively in implicit methods.

3) I can use flipped grammer in my classes to teach grammer in a more communicative way. I can also prepare suitable exercises to strengthen their four skills. I have to use more visuals,too.

1- I agree with the idea that there are more disadvantages in using translation to teach meaning. Because translation is a bit hard event to make it daily. Instead if this , we can try illustrating the words to make the meaning clear.

2- It may not be a way to store all the words that were taught in a vocabulary notebook. It is an old-school. Writing the words on a piece if paper with their pictures and hang them on the wall may be a good idea.

3 - Getting to know a word is really similar to knowing a friend. The more time we spend with a word , the better we learn and recognise a word.

1- I thought PLC facilitator is something like teacher trainer, but I realize now we are going to collaborate,discuss and share ideas with local teacher in my district.

2- I really feel motivated about the role of facilitator since I believe that we can change the system of language teaching in Turkey. It will be like a butterfly effect.
I met with lots of enthusiastic colleagues here. I hope we will keep in touch most of the time and share our ideas,help each other.

3-We have already had a whatsapp group with the PLC teachers in my area. We’re planning to come together before our first PLC meetings.
