    • This organization was founded by William Booth.
    • When The Salvation Army first began and William Booth realized how many people were sleeping on the streets in London, England, he simply said to his son Bramwell, ‘We must do something!’ and so Bramwell set up The Salvation Army’s first hostel for homeless men in an old tram shed. Out of this beginning came The Salvation Army, with its uniforms, organization, and discipline.

    • The mission of this organization is to provide the homeless with essential needs and help them get back on their feet.

    Some programs that we are running:

    • Soup Kitchens
    • Clothing Drive 
    • Building shelter for homeless
    • Odd Jobs around the community

    Why are these strategies effective or ineffective?

    • They help give homeless people basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter.
