For example, if the reading is about family then they can write something related to their families.

Ask students to write as many verbs in past as possible (from the video) and then together we will write affirmative or negative sentences using those verbs.

Ask them to compare their verbs which each other by saying I got.... What did you get...and the other student responds I got...

Promote the topic of the audio by asking triggering questions that are related to it.

Pay attention and identify/collect vocabulary/phrases you think are related to the topic

Post Listening

With the vocabulary/phrases they collected, they can interview other students in pairs. We would provide them with prompts.

To introduce vocabulary, provide a wordwall where they have to flip cards and form pairs with words and their definitions, which will require them to use their knowledge and logic. After they complete the activity, ask them to create sentences with some of their words and include them in an impromptu conversation.

Predicting listening:

we can have some prompt for the students to fill some gaps

During the listening instead of doing the whole listening, we can stop it to check if they are getting the idea, so they can have time to get the information, and we can check if they are understanding. what could have been done differently: Using edpuzzle to chunk the video and have the students focus on specific vocabulary, infer words, and focus on content, critical thinking rather than just listening comprehension.

Post listening: Compare with their classmates the order they do their daily routines based on the prompts provided by the teacher for example, First, I take a shower, and then I have breakfast.

Application: Also they imagine they are a famous person, so they interview each other and then they report to the class to practice the 3rd person conjugation.
