At first, it seemed to be a good act, ending the drunken chaos found within the city streets. However, as time went on, people got desperate for alcohol, they needed to drink. That is how Speakeasies were made. A speakeasy is your typically Underground mafia building, you walk into a place, tell someone behind a door a secret password, and you're in. The Cotton Club was perhaps the most famous and popular speakeasy. Within it, various different forms of entertainment ranging from Jazz players to Flappers. However, the main reason for attendance was not the entertainment. No, people (typically rich white people) attended for the liquor.
