Genesis🤪- You know I agree, we should be able to accept each other the way we are. So Why should we worry if our community doesn’t accept each other.

Merida❤️- we should worry because if it gets out of control it won’t be good for our community and it can affect other people and if people don’t accept eachother of how they are it won’t be a positive community.

Genesis 🤩- Well..... How does that feeling start, y do people feel this way?

Merida❤️- probably because of what type of religion they are and how people try to murder their own people .

Genesis💬- So ur saying people dislike people bc of there diffences?Can you give an example of who would of done that?

Merida❤️- like the Nazis they disliked the Jews like Anne Frank and her family had to go into hiding because they would be sent to concentration camps.

Genesis🤯- Wow 😲, I cant believe how people would do that. Who was there leader?

Merida ❤️- their leader was a German his name is Hitler he wanted to get rid of the Jews.

Genesis🧐- What a horrible man!Can you give an especific example of Jews stories?

Merida❤️-for example, in life is beautiful guido was Joshua’s dad and he made Joshua think that all of it was just a game and he would act like everything was perfectly fine.

Genesis🙀-Wow he was good dad. Did they survive?

Merida ❤️- they shot guido and sadly he dies and Joshua survived his dad told him to stay in his hiding spot until everything was over . 

Genesis😔- 😭😭😭😭omg why? How did u learn about the Holocaust?

Merida❤️- I learned about the holocaust because at first we read milkweed and it’s all about the holocaust.

Merida❤️-it was about a boy named misha he was a gypsy he didn’t have a family and he idiot, doesn’t know what was going on.

Genesis😂-How does he relate to the Holocaust?

Merida❤️- he relates to the holocaust because he was there while the holocaust was taking place

Angelica: I think the purpose of milkweed is to stay together & face bad things together. 
Leonor: why is it important to remember the Holocaust ? 
Angelica: Is important because alot of people are dead. Because of something they didn’t do & people kill them do no reason. I think is always important to remember this because it show us that people who didn’t do nothing , doesn’t deserve what happened to them .

Miguel- Because the nazis think that they were better then the jews.

Miguel-they think they were  better because they have different belives then the jews. the thing that makes me think like that it`s because the jews were taken to the concentration camp.

Jessica- The importance of an accepting society is essential for our country because it keeps us close and at peace so that we can all be somewhat happy.
Kasandra-oh is that so.can you give me an example?
Jessica-Sure I mean I kinda have to. For example the holocaust could have ended up different if people saw it a different way.
Kasandra- really I never would have thought of that .. what happen?
Jessica-a lot of peoples dyed because a couple of people did not like others because if there religion 
Kasandra-wow that’s so sad it’s so sad to think that this could happen I wonder the struggle...what do you think about this situation?what do you think could have happen?
Jessica - I think this was very hard but I think if they would have just left each other alone and aceppet them for who they are this would have never happen.
Kasandra- do you know anybody this happen to and how they took it?
Jessica-Anne Frank life was abruptly robbed of her happy teenage years when he holocaust started to happen she lived in a business annex but I think she took the situation pretty well for her age because of her diary.
Kasandra-I did not know that that’s very interesting what do you mean by her diary?
Jessica-her diary she wrote a diary to express her feelings and emotion i think that’s what got her trough she had something to write in something to tell but she still was happy going through all of this
Kasandra-that’s very interesting did anybody ever turn on each other?
Jessica-yes actually in the book milkweed jews turned on Jews beat them killed them just because they thought they had a higher advantage of living...but also in the diary of Anne Frank Mr.Van Dann was stealing bread but Mrs Frank caught them and wanted the Van Danns out of their hiding place.
Kasandra-oh my goodnessis  that true ? It’s hard to believe something like this could ever happen when your in a hard situation.
Jessica- yes this is true it’s just hard to imagine 
Kasandra-you think we should just leave it behind us forget about it?
Jessica-it is important not to forget the horrible events of the holocaust because it is important to know the horrible things that happen so they won’t happen again.

Deziree- it’s important because to accept people for what they are or what they do 

Ms. Fyfe- why do we need to accept people?

Deziree- people can turn against each other 

Ms. Fyfe- can you give me an example of people turning against each other from one of our examples we studied?

Deziree- for an example, Mrs. Frank caught Mr. vann Dann eating the bread and mrs,. frank wanted him to leave 

Ms. Fyfe- oh that sounds intense. How did others react when Mrs. Frank asked Mr. Van Dan to leave?

Deziree - not so good ms. Van Dan didn’t want to leave they didn’t have a hiding spot to leave.

Ms. Fyfe- it sounds like it caused fear. What could have happened to the Van Daans if they had left without a hiding place to go to?

Deziree- they would’ve got caught by the nacis 

Ms. Fyfe- how do you think Mrs. frank would have felt if the Van Daans had been caught after she kicked them out?

Deziree- fear because anything could happen the Van Daans would’ve snitch them out on where were they hiding.

Ms. Fyfe- it seems like Mrs. Frank would only be concerned about herself and now getting caught. How does this show what can happen When we don’t accept others?

Deziree- anything could happen if we don’t accept people.

Ms. Fyfe- that’s true! Do you think other people today realize the negative consequences that come from not accepting people in our communities?

Deziree- no , till this day there’s still negativity on not accepting people.

Ms. Fyfe- you feel like this still occurs today in our society?

Deziree- yes 

Ms. Fyfe- could something like the Holocaust happen again?
