Mr Tan, the Physics teacher, felt that his students were able and ready to manage their own learning. He has been systematically teaching them SDL skills through his lessons. He will be covering the topic of motion in the coming weeks and he wanted his students to be ready for the topic. He provided the learning guides on Newton’s Laws of Motion, questions and deadlines. His students were to complete their learning independently. He decided to use Edmodo to manage this process.
Within 3 weeks, students were to hand in a write up about their understanding of Newton’s Laws of Motion. They were to give him an update of their progress by the end of each week via email.
