After completing his education, he spent time as a tax attorney and then operated his own Maryland and Washington, DC, law firm for nearly 18 years.

In 2008, as a result of the crash of real estate values, Mr. Lahuti saw an opportunity in the Maryland real estate market. He shortly began purchasing bank foreclosures in Maryland. Four years later in 2012 , he repeated the same strategy in Tampa, Florida, where unlike Maryland, property values had remained at crashed prices. However, in order to raise the necessary cash needed to purchase Tampa foreclosures, he took a risk for himself and and his investors by selling almost all the Maryland properties, and replacing them with properties in Tampa, Florida. As a result of this strategy, during the years of 2012-2022, he was able to significantly increase the number of rental properties under his management. Mr. Lahuti remains CEO and president of Fenix & Company Inc and is now primarily in charge of all property acquisitions.

Outside of his real estate work, Mr. Lahuti is an avid cyclist. He has applied to cycling the same high energy and hard work ethics as he has shown as a real estate investor and property manager. He has won a number of races and enjoyed top 10 finishes at the Florida State Championships in 2020 and 2021. He is a member of the USA Cycling Federation and the Pinella’s County Cycling Group.

Mr. Lahuti holds a bachelor of business administration ( BBA) in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan. He is an inactive certified public accountant (CPA) and member of the American Institute of CPAs .
