I. love. music. And I love all the different kinds of it. I have gone to so many different concerts throughout my life and I'm sure at some point or another it will come up in class. However, I love to create a class playlist as a fun get-to-know-everyone and it makes the space feel a little more comforting and welcoming when you hear a good/familiar song as you walk through the door.

Reconnecting

Reconnecting with nature, people, and myself is so important to me (and something you'll hear me emphasize over and over). I love to do the big things, like travel and see all kinds of new places, but I also love an in-depth conversation over a simple meal with good company. Surrounding myself with places and people who encourage and inspire me to chase all of my dreams and tell all of my stories is so important to me.

Enneagram 2: "The Helper"

I have been fascinated by enneagrams since I was a junior in high school. Back then, I played sports and really identified with my older sister and oldest-child self and was an Enneagram 3 (The Achiever). However, more than ever, I have found that as I've gotten older, I have tapped into this helping role. I value being needed, and in the classroom I want my students to know that I value them for coming to me. No question is too small, and I truly want to guide and help wherever I can. I love the phrase "Let's learn together," because as a helper, it's a privilege to get to help and be helped by those around me 💕
