he is doing this favor for his aunt and her friend, Ms. Emma
he is extremely unhappy with every aspect of his life
Jefferson 
is tried and convicted of a crime he didn't commit.
he's called a hog because he is a young,  very uneducated man who is really boy.
Henri is the connection for Emma and Lou to see Jefferson. They both worked for him and asked him for this favor.
