Have you ever heard of the 'Teletubbies Hill' tour? Ollon Valley, which is said to be the Teletubbies hill of Tana Toraja.

Tana Toraja itself is a district located in South Sulawesi Province. Administratively, as reported on the official website of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, this area borders North Toraja Regency and West Sulawesi Province to the north, Enrekang Regency and Pinrang Regency to the south, East Luwu Regency.
Located in the highlands, around 300 meters to 2,500 meters above sea level, Tana Toraja's main tourist attractions can be divided into four categories, namely nature tourism, historical tourism, arts and culture tourism, and agro tourism. Being one of the mainstays of South Sulawesi, the number of tourist arrivals to this place has relatively increased, from 12,631 visits in 2010, rising sharply to 60,069 visits in 2014.

With quite a large number of tourist arrivals, Tana Toraja's Regional Original Income (PAD) achievement is relatively high. In 2013, for example, this district's PAD reached IDR 36 billion, with contributions from the tourism sector reaching IDR 250 million.[1] In fact, in 2015, the tourism sector's contribution increased to IDR 336 million.

For natural tourism, for example, there are the tourist attractions of Bunake Burake, Sullukan Natural Cave, Sa'pang Bayo-Bayo Natural Cave, Sarambu Waterfall, Talando Tallu Waterfall, Pakkara Waterfall, Makula Bathing Pool, Tilangnga Natural Pool, Sion Hill, Mount Kandora , Tinoring cliffs, Makale pond plaza, and Assa' rain-fed lake.[2] This does not include historical tourism, arts and culture tourism, and agro tourism.

So, of all the nature-themed tourist attractions in Tana Toraja, you shouldn't miss Ollon Valley. This is one of the holiday spots that is starting to become a hit on social media networks. You can find this area in Lembang Bau, Buakayu Village, Bonggakaradeng District, about 40 km or an hour's drive from the center of Makale City, the capital of Tana Toraja.

Initially, Ollon Hill was an ordinary valley, used as a plantation and livestock location for local residents, numbering only around 30 families. Local people often use this area as garden land and use the spacious land for cattle and horses. However, after several travelers uploaded photos of this valley to social media, Ollon Hill immediately went viral.

The vast expanse of green hills will make visitors feel at home on holiday in this place for a long time. Apart from that, you can also play in the river that flows below or visit a horse farm, and even try riding a horse owned by local residents. Meanwhile, for those who like photography, the Ollon Valley is certainly a good location to immortalize with a camera.

The Buton Sultanate Fortress is one of the historical tourist attractions in Bau-bau , Southeast Sulawesi . This fort, which was the former capital of the Buton Sultanate, has a quite unique architectural shape, made of limestone /mountain. This circular fort has a circumference of 2,740 meters. Buton Palace Fortress received an award from the Indonesian Record Museum ( MURI ) and the Guinness Book Record issued in September 2006 as the largest fort in the world with an area of around 23,375 hectares.

This fort has 12 gates called Lawa and 16 cannon emplacements which they call Baluara . Because it is located at the top of a fairly high hill with quite steep slopes, it was possible that this place was the best defense place in its time. From the edge of the fort, which still stands strong today, you can enjoy a clear view of the city of Bau-Bau and ships going back and forth in the Buton Strait from above, a quite impressive view. Apart from that, in the fort area you can find various historical relics of the Buton Sultanate.

The Buton Sultanate fort was built in the 16th century by the Sultan of Buton III named La Sangaji who had the title Sultan Kaimuddin (1591-1596). Initially, the fort was only built in the form of a pile of stones arranged around the palace complex with the aim of creating a dividing fence between the palace complex and the community village as well as acting as a defensive fort. During the reign of Sultan Buton IV, named La Elangi or Sultan Dayanu Ikhsanuddin, the fort in the form of a pile of stones was made into a permanent building.

During the heyday of the Buton Sultanate government, the existence of the Buton Sultanate Fortress had a big influence on the existence of the Kingdom. In a period of more than four centuries, the Sultanate of Buton was able to survive and avoid enemy threats. From the edge of the fort, which still stands strong today, you can enjoy a clear view of the city of Bau-Bau and ships going back and forth in the Buton Strait from a height.

This fort consists of three components, namely Badili , Lawa , and Baluara

Badili (Cannon)

This tourist attraction is a cannon made from old iron measuring 2 to 3 fathoms. This cannon is a former weaponry of the Buton Sultanate left by the Portuguese and Dutch which can be found in almost all the forts in Bau-Bau City .

Lawa

In Wolio language it means gate. Lawa functions as a link between the palace and the villages around the palace fort. There are 12 lawsa in the palace fort. According to local beliefs, the number 12 represents the number of holes in the human body, so the palace fortress is compared to the human body. The 12 lawa each have a name according to the title of the person overseeing them, the mention of the lawa is combined with their name. The word lawa is added with the suffix 'na' to become 'lawana'. The ending 'na' in the Butonese language functions as a substitute for the word "nya". Each lawa has a different shape but in general it can be distinguished in terms of shape, width and construction, some are made of stone and are also combined with wood, a kind of gazebo on top which functions as a viewing tower. The 12 names of Lawa include: Lawana Rakia , Lawana Lanto , Lawana Labunta , Lawana Kampebuni , Lawana Waborobo , Lawana Dete , Lawana Kalau , Lawana Wajo /Bariya, Lawana Badene /Tanailandu, Lawana Melai/Baau, Lawana Lantongau and Lawana Gundu-Gundu.

Baluara

The word baluara comes from the Portuguese word baluer which means bastion. Baluara was built before the palace fort was founded in 1613 during the reign of La Elangi/Dayanu Ikhsanuddin (4th Sultan of Buton) at the same time as the construction of the 'godo' (warehouse). Of the 16 baluara, two of them have godo located above the baluara. Each serves as a storage place for bullets and gunpowder. Each baluara has a different shape, adapted to the conditions of the land and location. The names of the baluara are named according to the name of the village where the baluara is located. The name of the village was in the palace fort during the Buton Sultanate era.

The 16 names of Baluara are: baeluana gama , baluarana litao , baeluana barangkatopa , baeluana wandailolo , baeluana baluwu , baeluana dete, baeluana if , baeluana godona oba , baeluana wajo/bariya , baeluana tanailandu , baeluana melai/baau , baeluana godona batu , baluara Ana Lantongau , baluarana gundu-gundu , balaluana siompu and

balaluana rakia .

Seveninscriptions called 'Yupa' (stone monument) which is written in Pallawa andSanskrit language is estimated to be from 400 C.E or 5th century. The Yupainscription is the oldest inscription from the oldest Hindu kingdom of Kutai.Kutai was established by Kudungga, which then continued by his son,Aswawarman. The glory of Kutai Kingdom was reached when Mulawarman(Aswawarman' Son) took the throne. Kutai was located at the head of Mahakamriver, East Kalimantan. Since it was located at the head of Mahakam River, it istheorized that trading became a major livelihood of Kutai people. In terms ofKingdom of Kutai culture, the Yupa mentioned that there was place name"Wapakeswara", a worship place for Lord Shiva.

X pharmacy A

Once upon a time, some ancient inhabitants of the Papua New Guinea region made a long journey riding a dragon. They are looking for a new territory to occupy and plan to settle there. However, unfortunately the dragon they were riding was unable to fly any further and ended up falling into a large lake. The dragon finally died submerged in the lake.

But that was not the case with the fate of some of the dragon statues. They saved work for some of the dragon's bodies that burst out of the surface and finally they were stranded in the lake and lived in the bodies of dead dragons. According to legend, the dragon's head became an island on the east side of Donald and the tail became the island on the west side and the body becomes an island in the middle and the island is called the Danu, which is Lake Sentani and to this day their staw residents start from the story of the Papua New Guineans who are waiting for the sound

Starting from the story of the legend of the dragon rider, Lake Sentani has become a very famous lake in Papua province. This lake, located in the south of Jayapura district, has an area of 9,360 hectares and a depth of 70 meters below sea level. The lake area, which is part of the Cycloops Mountains nature reserve, has beautiful natural panoramas and is full of cultural values.

Lake Sentani is one of Papua's leading tourism destinations. This lake with stunning views surrounds 24 villages with various arts and culture that are interesting for tourists. In fact, according to the opinion of some local residents, handicrafts such as bark paintings and stone paintings are among the best artistic products in all of Papua. Not only culture and art, Lake Sentani is also famous for its extraordinary natural riches. Biodiversity in the form of Matoa Trees, Areca Palm Trees and Eucalyptus are typical plants that are often found around the lake. Apart from that, various types of land and water fauna, such as butterflies, Tilapia, Lohan Fish, and Tawas Fish, are widely distributed around the waters of Lake Sentani. In fact, it is said that the freshwater Saw Shark, which is rumored to be extinct, was once a typical animal of Lake Sentani.

This attractive tourism condition does not only stop at natural and cultural riches. These various advantages were taken to a further level by the regional government through the Lake Sentani Festival. This festival is held once a year, usually in mid-June. This festival, which is usually held in the Kalkote area, on the shores of Lake Sentani, presents various local cultures and arts. Residents who generally work as fishermen, use this event as a means of promoting Sentani culture. They display dances, typical crafts, and even various other cultural products uniquely and beautifully at this annual festival.

Lake Sentani is in the Sentani area, the capital of Jayapura district. This lake can be reached in 15 minutes from Sentani airport and stretches widely along the journey to the city of Jayapura. Cool breezes and peaceful serenity will be felt when entering the Lake Sentani area. In fact, to be more integrated with the nature of Lake Sentani, tourists can go around and visit the islands in Lake Sentani by renting the available motorboats. It seems that one day is not enough to enjoy the beauty of Lake Sentani.
