         <description><![CDATA[<div>Educational activities in the country were organized under one roof with the passage of the "Unification of Education Law" (Tevhid- Tedrisat) in 1924. Arabic and Persian, which were mostly taught in pre-Republican educational institutions, were replaced by German, French, and English from Western languages with the passage of the Law of Unification of Education.<br>Arabic was added to the curriculum of Imam-Hatip High Schools, while Persian was completely removed (Çakır, 2007).</div>]]></description>
