One plant that grows in the Wetlands is, a pitcher plant. They survive by eating insects for food and special liquids to dissolve the food. Another plant that grows in the wetlands is the Mangrove trees. They need the roots that grow out of the water to take in the air. The last plants are, reeds and sedges. They need hollow tubes that carry air from parts that are above water to the parts that are below water.

Broad leaved trees and shrubs grow in broad leaved forests. Shrubs can only grow in the spring and summer. The trees can grow year round, and they also lose leaves in the fall. Plants on the forest floor can grow really well because after the trees lose their leaves, the dead leaves on the forest floor add nutrients to the soil. These nutrients help many plants grow in broad leaved forests. Eeha, Julia, and Pedro
