         <description><![CDATA[<div>Had the students create a tessellation of their choosing. Once the outline of the tessellation was drawn the students drew and colored an image inside of the shape.  The class then anonymously voted to choose the top five tessellations, and they are currently displayed outside of 2808.</div>]]></description>

Students are given the same pieces and told to reconstruct what we showed them after only giving them a limited time to look at our original. Each group then designed and created, using the Makerspace, 3 products: outfit/costume based on specialized industry for chosen region...promotional material (billboard, commercial, pamphlet)...historical artifact found in chosen region. </div>]]></description>

Then, they honed their theme statement into a central idea, and composed an essay. After both self-editing and peer-editing, students had their finished product (an invaluable expository essay)! :)</div>]]></description>
