The room has plenty of color but not too much. It is warm and inviting with plenty of flexible seating options for the students. Usually when walls are blank or there is too much on the walls, the students tend to lose focus. None of that was taking place. The students seemed to be very engaged and the classroom didn’t come off as a distraction.

However, there are a few stragglers, but that is in every class. The students seem engaged during group discussion. They were answering questions. The students also appear to be engaged, because of the grouping of the assignment. Dojo, which is a class behavioral system, sorted the class into partners, which they thought was the coolest thing ever invented. They got to be with partners and got to read passages together.

She walks around and monitors the students work and gives suggestions, while still letting them complete the assignment on their own. She also notices that most of the students were having the same common mistake on their work, so she stopped her whole, to redirect the students on the problem at hand.

However, there wasn’t any alternative ways the assignment could have been represented, which could be troublesome, if this strategy didn’t work out for all students. The students got to choose if they wanted to read aloud their ecosystem stories, which were stories they got to create about their own characters in their own ecosystems. The students really enjoyed them. They all were laughing and giggling at the funny stories. Also, Mrs. Padgett made a point to have the students separate, so there was not any interruptions while the students were reading.
