The DLC teachers had requested to meet as a group today to work on stations and to understand learning labs better. Their principal agreed to get them a sub for the day. We work in the morning as a group on stations, reflection boards and the goals of DLC. After lunch I worked individually with the teachers helping them put together stations.

• Beth Stiles - Resource Teacher - Beth worked with a  group of reading students who each have an IEP.  The students read a news article about the importance of "Fact Checking"  she then used SeeSaw periodically throughout the article to have students collaborate and answer questions with a partner.  The students submitted their responses and she was able to adapt her instruction based on their responses.
• Pitts:  4th Grade - Jackie and her class are in the process of reading a chapter book about the Oregon Trail.  Once they discussed the text they then completed a term chart on the SmartBoard as a class. Next students used a Board from DE Board Builder to collaborate to fill in terms and add information to their student created Board.  Lastly, they took a Google form quiz to show their understanding of the reading.
• Banks/Barnette - 5th-grade math/Math Intervention Teacher - Students completed stations to show their understanding of "Units of Weight".   Kala went over the directions utilizing the "revealer" strategy so students knew the directions step by step.   Students worked through 5 stations on a teacher created Board.  Once working through the stations in groups they collaborated on solving conversion problems.  Kala and Beth then checked their work for understanding.
