Three hundred workers connected 18,038 steel components, using 3.5 million connections. There was a high risk of accidents, because the tower is an open design, without floors (except 2 platforms) and walls. Formal wheel opening took place on 31st December 1999, it was opened on 9 March 2000.

Dolphins are not dangerous but very friendly and trained. They show a lot of interesting tricks. Possible to see them from the aquarium.
