         <description><![CDATA[<p>Industrialization &amp; markets:-the Industrial Revolution made imperialism more necessary and it made imperialism more possible.</p><p>natural resources &amp; raw materials:-The industrialized economies of these countries needed raw materials and imperialism was seen as a way to  get those materials</p><p>nationalism:- Imperialism involves one country inducing control over another region. This is sometimes justified by nationalism, a feeling of "our nation is the best, so we should help those living in a worse situation".</p><p>racism &amp; Social Darwinism:-according to the Social Darwinist, Imperialism was the natural expansion and success of a well-evolved culture and this expansion would help remove or improve underperforming cultures.</p><p>white man’s burden:-This poem relates to imperialism because it is a warning to the United States about what it should expect when it sets out to become an imperial power</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Indirect control his African / people / native more freedom and involvement in the government where direct control of the natives have no voice and have to live by European standards. Also indirect the money provided by native all goes to the Europeans.</p><p>Direct control:a control that is directly imposed upon the manufacturing, pricing, and distribution of specific goods in contrast with an indirect or general control that affects the economy in its entirety and specific goods only indirectly.</p><p>Paternalism:the policy or practice on the part of people in positions of authority of restricting the freedom and responsibilities of those subordinate to them in the subordinates' supposed best interest.</p><p>Indirect Control:is a system of government used by the British and French to control parts of their colonial empires, particularly in Africa and Asia, through Pre-existing local power structures.</p>]]></description>
