Tropical rainforests have many special features that enable it to adapt to the environment. Firstly, it has broad leaves which allows it to be able to absorb maximum amount of sunlight for photosynthesis. Secondly, it has drip tips to allow it to drain off excess water so as to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi on the leaves. Thirdly, it has waxy leaves to allow it to be able to reduce the loss of water vapour to the environment due to the process of transpiration. It also has buttress roots that allow it to reach up for maximum sunlight and also to allow it to be able to absorb mineral salts and nutrients from the soil owing to its shallow underground roots.

The plants in the tropical rainforest have Buttress roots to help them reach to great heights to absorb as much sunlight as possible to make food. It also keeps them upright and prevents them from toppling over. The roots usually grow up to 5 metres tall. They also have shallow roots to absorb the nutrients on the top most layer of the soil where the dead leaves fall and decompose on the soil. The plants have broad leaves which has a larger surface area to absorb more sunlight to make food. They have waxy leaves that reduces the amount of water lost during transpiration from the atmosphere due to the high temperature and heat. They also have drip tips which allows water to flow of their leaves easily which is important due to the frequent heavy rainfall and helps them to dry faster so that bacteria and fungi do not grow on the leaves.

Tropical rainforests have four features which allows them to adapt to their environment. The features are broad leaves, drip tips leaves, waxy coating and buttress roots. The broad leaves allow the plant to absorb as much sunlight to photosynthesize and make food for the plant. The drip tip leaves allow precipitation to drip of the leaves easily to ensure the growth of fungi and bacteria on the leaves due to the high precipitation in the tropical rainforests. The waxy coating on leaves reduces the amount of water vapour being evaporated during the process of transpiration. The buttress roots not only support the tree and grow great lengths to help the tree absorb as much sunlight as possible, the buttress roots are also shallow roots to help the plant absorb as much nutrients and minerals as possible as they are found above the soil.

There are 4 special features of a Tropical Rainforest. They are drip-tip leaves, butress roots, broad leaves and waxy leaves. Due to the tropical weather where there is an abundant of rainfall, so rain will fall often, drip-tip leaves and waxy leaves allows the water which fell onto the leaves to flow off the leaf easily. This way, fungus or bacteria gowth can be prevented effectively. Butress roots allows the Tropical rainforest plants to be able to receive enough water and able to prevent the plant from toppling over easily against strong wind. Lastly, the broad leaves of Tropical Rainforests allows the plants to be able to trap more sunlight due to the increased amount of chloroplast in the leaf. Traping more sunlight allows photosynthesis to be carried out efficiently. The plants would be able to make more food and give out more oxygen during the photosynthesis.

The tropical rainforests has drip tips to help the rainwater that accumulates on the leaves to flow off easily. Additionally, it also has waxy leaves to aid the drip tips in helping the water to flow off the leaves smoothly, not allowing the growth of bacteria to take place. Broad leaves help the plants to trap light and make food for the plant to grow and transpirate faster. Lastly, the buttress roots helps the trees in the tropical rainforest to take in nutrients from the topmost layer of the soil in the undergrowth layer. Since the roots of the trees that reach beneath the soil is very shallow and short, the source of nuturients is from the decomposing leaves and dead matter from the top layer of the soil. Not only that, it also prevents the plants from toppling over.

-the trees in the tropical rainforest are tall to reach for sunlight more. they also have buttress roots anchor them to the groundwhenever there is a storm, preventing them from being uprooted and causing them to die in the end. the tropical rainforests also have high rainfall, allowing the plants to absorb more water and photosynthesise faster, allowing them to grow better. the animals also have ample water to drink. the tropical rainforests also have no change in climate and their temperatures remain the same, so animals and plants living in there do not need to adapt to the climate so much. furthermore, leaves of plants in the tropical rainforests have waxy surfaces and drip tips to allow water to flow off of them easily. therefore, fungi and bacteria would not grow on the leaves and cause the leaves to die.

The leaves of the tropical rainforest plants are mostly broad, which means that they have a large surface area. This enables the plant to absorb as much sunlight as possible in order to make food for its own survival and growth. The leaves are waxy too. This helps the plant to reduce the amount of water lost through transpiration. The leaves are also drip tipped, allowing water on the leave to flow off. This prevents the growth of fungi and bacteria when water is accumulated on the leaf surface. The plants have buttress roots, which allows them to reach greater heights without toppling. The roots of plants are also wide spreading. As the tropical rainforest are in a tropical climate which has a high rainfall, the roots are wide spreading. This allows the plant to absorb as much water and nutrients as possible before they are washed away by the rain.

There are also buttress roots which secure the plant to the ground to prevent uprooting during heavy rain, and the roots also help the plant grow to greater heights to reach for as much sunlight as possible for photosynthesis. Shallow underground roots also allow the trees to absorb nutrients from the soil as fast as possible. Hence, these are the features that allow tropical rainforests to adapt to the environment.

The tropical rain forests have many adaptations to the environment. Trees have buttress roots that hold them upright and anchor the trees preventing them from toppling. It gives the trees support and allows them to grow as tall as they want to receive abundance of sunlight and water. Trees and plants have broad leaves that have more surface area in order to absorb as much sunlight as possible. They also have waxy leaves that prevent them from losing water vapour. They also have drip tip leaves that allows rainwater to flow off easily. These are adaptations that allow tropical rainforests to adapt to the environment in order to receive abundance of sunlight and rainfall.

Tropical rainforests have 4 special features. Broad leaves, buttress roots, drip tips and waxy leaves. The leaves in the tropical rainforest has broad leaves which help to increase the surface area of leaves which enables more photosynthesis to take place. The trees have buttress roots, which help the trees to receive enough water and prevent the plant from toppling over. The leaves also have drip tips to help rainwater drip off the leaf to prevent bacterial growth. The trees also have waxy leaves which help to reduce the loss of water vapour to the environment through transpiration .

The Tropical Rainforest has 3 layers, the emergent, the canopy, and the undergrowth. The emergent layer consists of trees of height above 30 meters. They can grow up to 70 meters in height. These trees grow as high as possible to receive as much sunlight as possible. Below the emergent is the canopy layer. The height of the trees in the canopy layer can range from 20-30 meters. In the canopy layer, the crowns of the trees interlock to maximise the amount of sunlight received. The plants in the undergrowth layer are 0-20 meters in height. In the undergrowth layer, there is very little sunlight as most of the sunlight is blocked by the crowns of the trees in the canopy layer. Whenever there is a fallen tree in the canopy layer, the plants in the undergrowth will take advantage of it and grow there. The plants in the tropical rainforest are also evergreen. This means that they do not have a specific time of the year when all their leaves fall off. This is because they grow in the tropical climate which has a high average temperature at around 27 degree Celsius and hight average rain fall which is above 2000mm. The tropical rainforest is dense and luxuriant because there is an abundance of food sources and water all year round, making it a suitable location for a wide variety of animals. It also has no dry seasons or cold climate.

The leaves of the tropical rainforest have waxy leaves which give them a glossy appearance and prevent too much lost of water vapour. The leaves also have drip tips that have a waxy texture which allow the rainwater to fall off the leaves quickly and prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria. The leaves are also broad so that they can absorb as much sunlight as possible to make food. Lastly, they have buttress roots which support the trees and keep the trees upright.
