All of the soda choices are part of monopolistic competition. more specifically Coke vs. Pepsi. They both sell products that are not identical to each other and are not substitutions for each other. When coke is cheaper than pepsi then normally the customer will buy coke.

GMC, Ford, and Chrysler are an example of an oligopoly. They are all in the US and manufacture similar but not the same products. Also, there is limited competition because it is just these three for the US manufacturers. If Ford is the cheapest then most likely the customers are going to buy the Ford.

Generic brand toaster treats often sell a lot less than pop-tarts because pop-tarts is a very big brand and the customers know that they are very trusted and respected brand. So even if the toaster treats are cheaper, the customer is still going to buy the pop-tarts.
