  • Train teachers in Growth Mindset thinking (PD Session 1)
  • Introduce teachers to the COVA + CSLE models . (PD Session 2)
  • Help teachers understand what a Significant Learning Environment is, and help them design their physical and digital learning environments to encourage collaboration and student-led learning (PD Sessions 3 & 4)
  • Introduce the SAMR model and Pedagogical Wheel and their connection to the COVA model. Rework a lesson plan to maximize COVA and Depth of Knowledge through both high- and low-tech learning activities (PD Session 5)
  • Introduce teachers to resources for better lesson design, such as Understanding by Design, and train them to use these resources to create lesson plans that support student choice, while still reaching learning goals. (PD Session 6-7)
  • Instruct teachers in Active Research methods for constantly improving their student learning. (PD Session 8)
