Cluny was upset but he pretended that it was his plan to kill Cheesethief because he made up a story about Cheesethief wanting to take over. Meanwhile, Matthias met a bunch of shrews called the Gurrilla Union of Shrews or something and the shrews at first wanted to kill him but then they told where to find Captain Snow. Matthias went to the barn but a cat named Julian stopped him and told him Snow lived somewhere else. Julian took him back to the shrews and Matthias was mad at them because they didn't tell him about the cat but he forgave them. The shrews took him to Snow and Snow wanted to eat him but he showed Basil's medal and Snow made a bet with him. The bet was if Matthias beat Asmodeus, Snow would never eat a shrew or mouse again and apologize to Julian who was his ex-friend but if Asmodeus ate Matthias, Snow would keep the medal.

The challenges he faced in the shed varied by fish heads on door knobs, hornets, spider webs, etc. When he finally found an opening from the shed window he yanked it open and went inside the house in the middle of the night. He got his suitcase and put it on the front porch. He filled a jar with warm water and did his revenge on Toddy. He tip-toed up the stairs and went into Toddy's room. She was very annoyed but then her mom visited her and told her that they would have to stay longer two weeks extra .Vera did not like that and wanted to go home but her mom got a job at work and she had to stay for 2 weeks because they couldn't afford a babysitter so Vera said okay.

Percy engages one-on-one with Atlas, Kronos's commander. Atlas easily knocks Percy aside and his sword fails Percy. Percy is wounded but he wants to lift the sky. Percy lifts the sky and it is very hard to do that. (He almost blacks out) Artemis fights Atlas. Atlas knocks Zoë aside with his javelin. Atlas is about to defeat Artemis when she throws him at Percy. Percy dashes aside and now Atlas has to lift the sky again. Thalia is about to kill Luke when Annabeth begs her not to. Luke taunts both of them but Thalia kicks him off the cliff. Annabeth's dad comes along with Blackjack to bring them home. (Annabeth's dad shoots his machine guns at Kronos's army on the way to their destination) They arrived at their destination but something sad happens. Zoë dies because of her wounds. Her last word is, "Stars". Everyone is sad because of Zoë's death, but they must come to the winter solstice, which happens in a few minutes, and they travel to Mount Olympus.
