Ever since he picked up the pen into the digital art world in 6th grade and hasn’t been able to drop it. Major themes that were implemented into his pieces this year include color and abstractness. Zach uses color in particular ways to create focal points into his art works. Using abstractness, many of Zach’s pieces left the viewer with their own thoughts and made them finish the story by themselves. But the biggest thing about Zach’s work this year was exploration, he wanted to venture into different fields of art. From digital arts to experimenting with sculpture, color, wire, and abstract art. These things can be found scattered throughout his art and is the reason why his biggest project this year was about adventure. Using this theme, he decided to make a comic strip that would display his idea. Adventure with Finn was an exploration storyline with many different series of events. He is in his first year of Digital arts Certificate class and is trying to make art with many mediums such as wire, digital art, felt, sculpture and is implementing abstract and adventure themes in his art. He is inspired by many different art styles he sees and wants to try every kind of medium he can get his hands on. He can’t put a specific point on where he pulls inspiration from but animations like Studio Ghibli have sparked some ideas for him this year.
