1) Two differences between International Trade and Domestic Trade:

a) Currency
The currency will be the thing that differ most. Each country has their own currency. For International Trade, the currency used need to be determined because it will involve two or more parties from different countries while for Domestic Trade it will only involved two or more parties within the same country. So for each International Trade transaction, the parties involved need to determined the type of currency used to avoid any miscellaneous in terms of payment. For example, if two parties from Malaysia and Thailand respectively doing International Trade, they need to determined which currency will be used either Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) or Thailand Baht (THB). For Domestic Trade, as example parties within Malaysia will only used MYR as the currency for the trade transaction.

b) Documentation

International Trade will involve more complex type of documents involved. Since the good will be across the borders between country, there is need to be variety of document to ensure the movement of goods will be done smoothly due to more restrictions. The documents is needed for example clearance process at the custom and to ensure the party"s liable to the goods to avoid any misbehavior. Domestic Trade will involved simpler documents as there's no custom clearance process involved. Less restrictions is also involved in the trade.

2. State any five (5) most commonly used documents in shipping.

a) Certificate of Origin
b) Ocean Bill of Lading
c) Packing List
d) Invoice
e) Letter of Credit

MUHAMMAD SYAHRIL AMIN BIN NORAZMI A16A0437 Two differences between
international trade and domestic trade. 1.currency Basically , different
countries used different amount and types of currencies . For example ,
Singapore used Singapore Dollar and Thailand used Thai Baht for their country
currency. For domestic trade we used the same type of currency known as Ringgit
Malaysia for every state in Malaysia only.

2.communication and
culture differences Domestic trade is
easier when it comes to communication due to the same language people talk
everyday and the way people lives are quite same. For example ,most of
Malaysian speak the same language known as Bahasa Malaysia and they love to eat
Nasi Lemak in the morning with some Teh Tarik as a drink. Compared to
international trade it is more challenging because of languages we don’t use to
talk and different culture we don’t know from our own coutry. five commonly used documents in shipping 1. Air waybill 2. Bill of lading 3. Commercial invoice 4. Certificate of origin 5. Insurance certificate

1.Two differences between international trade and domestic trade
a)Currency
-Currency is a system of money in general use in a particular country. Domestic trade occur between the States in a country which is using the same currency as the country. International trade involve two or more country which is using the different currency. As an example international trade between Malaysia's currency Ringgit Malaysia (MYR) and Singapore's currency Singapore Dollar (SGD) and it's also come with different value.

b) Culture
- Culture means everything a society does. Every country has different kind of culture. As the domestic trade, there's no need much to adapt or adjust which the party just deal between the different state in the same Country. Meanwhile, international trade involve other country which force the party to adjust with tge country they deal with. As an example, Food Franchise from Spain need to add on the spice in their meal in their Malaysia's franchise because Malaysian used to eat spicy food.

2. Especially when its come to document and processing. Example like when we want to export to Jeddah and all arab countries. The customs are really strict. They required certificate of origin with verification from inspection company and other documents required. If not complete, the cargo will not get permission to enter their country. Otherwise domestic trade still have their procedure but not strict as international trade as we all know product easy to enter and transfer.

2) Transport and insurance cost

International trade was involved in longer delivery time and it's take a long journey. Because of that we need insurance to cover up any circumstance. The transportation cost also will be higher more than domestic trade. In fact of that, the existance of incoterm are as guide for seller and buyer who will bear the cost. As example Seller who practise CIF, will cover insurance and freight, duty as arrive at port and other risks will be transferred to buyer.

5 commonly used documents in shipping

1) Airway bill

2) Bill of lading

3) Commercial invoice

4) Certificate of origin

5) Insurance certificate
