Josef, from another group, volunteered to work on fundraising for news providers.

Richard will be working, I hope still with Claudia, and Rene and Michelle who weren't there tonight, on contacting organizations, academics and journalists to see how we can work with them and/or what advice they can give us about effective actions we can take.

Vinny and Mark are interested in working on media literacy/education, and maybe can contact groups involved in that.

Ruth will look into what role legislation might have in curbing fake news.

Deena (Deane?) is interested in finding out how Facebook can be inflluenced to curb its enabling of fake news and will research that.

Hannah is happy to get people involved in weeding out citations from dicey sources on Wikipedia.

Those of us working on contacting organiations, etc.will be in touch via Slack or email. We will try to schedule a meeting two weeks from now. Let's try to be ready to make contacts by then!
