Meredith O'Connor, Deputy Principal, Queensland Children's Hospital School. Currently supporting our regional paediatric services. Has worked in hospital education for over 20 years in a variety of roles including ward liaison teacher, Head of Curriculum, Acting Principal and Deputy Principal. Special interests include trauma informed pedagogy, curriculum, professional learning and building teacher capability.

My name is Anna Bauer and I've been working with QHEP for more than ten years in various teaching and project roles. After more than twenty years in education and a wide variety of roles in mainstream in Hospital schooling, I have developed a passion for working with educators sharing and discussing what works best for our state's most vulnerable students.

It is my role to support your participation in the series. You will receive emails, calendar invitations, requests for feedback and general information from me throughout the series.

Safe Minds is a program developed by NSW Education and Headspace in response to managing critical incidents of self harm in schools. The program is used by Queensland GOs as well and is a great starting point when developing a school based approach to self harm.

Anita Smith - Rural Ed-LinQ coordinator

Anita is the Rural Ed-LinQ Coordinator for South Burnett and Western Downs. Anita has worked in rural and regional mental health services, for the past 23 years, in various clinical and leadership positions within Queensland Health and private practice. Through her experiences and training, Anita has gained knowledge and skills in several therapy modalities working with child and youth and adult populations. Beyond the clinical context, Anita has provided consultancy services for schools which has involved the facilitation of professional development sessions for educators and professionals with a major focus on attachment and trauma-informed care

Jessica Vella is an occupational therapist and is currently acting in the role of Ed-LinQ coordinator for the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. She has worked in the mental health space for the past 10 years in various roles, predominantly with kids and families.

Jessica Sugarman - Ed-LinQ Coordinator Metro South

Jess is one of the Ed-LinQ coordinators in Metro South. She is an occupational therapist who has worked in a variety of settings including early childhood education, primary and secondary schools and child and youth mental health. Jess really enjoys working collaboratively with schools to find strategies to support children and young people to positively connect with the world and achieve their potential at school.

Creating Regulation Friendly Classrooms (Metro South Region PD - Queensland)

An opportunity for South-East Queensland state school teachers to attend a full day, face to face workshop. This PD is limited to government school staff as it's presented by Metro South Region. Spaces still available for 24 October session.
