For this task, you’ll be given a comic strip or a sarcastic newspaper image and will have to record a two-minute oral mediation explaining it.

Please make sure your image is unique — check that no one else has already used it before uploading.

In your recording, you should:

• Describe what the image shows and what it intends to communicate.

• Explain the tone, irony or sarcasm involved.

• Reflect briefly on the social, cultural or political message behind it.

• Are there any literary devices that should be mentioned?

• Convey the meaning clearly enough for someone unfamiliar with the image to understand its significance.

Finally, listen to your classmates’ submissions and leave constructive feedback on how their mediation could be refined or made even clearer.
