I didn't know that Catalan is not a dialect of Spanish. This may affect our study of our novel because the culture of the people is not known by as many people today. Only 9.5 Million people speak the language. I would think it would be a larger number. This sets up the setting of where this takes place and how it may be about a smaller society. I think it's also interesting how the capital and lowercase letters sometimes have a different name. This may affect the way we study the text because of the way it is translated.
