From these daily artistic encounters, I learned that art can take the shape of anything I want it to from book covers to unconventional things like my photo walls. My artistic encounters enrich my life by giving me nice things to look at because there's a saying in Korean that says that when you look at nice things, you feel nice. I think art is subjective in its meaning and what different people consider art. Thus, I think that the visual arts are important because they encourage individuals to be creative and explore different perspectives and ways of thinking. If the daily encounters I recorded were absent, the joy I find in life would be diminished because many of my artistic encounters are reminders that I am loved and that there is much to love in this world. For example, the clay star, moon, and sun encounter represents me and my roommates. After each of us was assigned a symbol based on our personalities, my roommate created these clay figures to display in our apartment's kitchen.
