Scenario 1: You are a high school science teacher in a very competitive Arts and Performance magnet school in New Orleans. Most of your students are members of both school and outside jazz bands. This keeps them quite busy, but they are supported by the school administration and local Important People. Students feel that science is a waste of time. So does the school administration, but not so much that they would not discipline a student who fails your course.

I would think a special science curriculum could be developed that emphasizes sound transmission and acoustics. Modules could also include microphones and sound transmission, light and color, or other subjects that link stage performance to science.
