My favourite Greenspace is a large open Forrest area next to while I live. It has a stream and a small waterfall and also a huge bridge you can go under. It has massive trees and lots of bushes but not a lot of plants or flowers, the Forrest floor is covered in leaves and sticks. It’s not very easily accessible and has huge hills and it’s very mucky and slippery at some parts so you need to be able to walk well on uneven ground, but I love taking my dog and my mums dog walks there and they love it too. Deer, ducks, rabbits and other animals live here also.I haven’t seen any bugs but I’m sure there’s lots of bugs and insects there also.

My favourite greenspace habitat is the forest! Not only is it peaceful but i love the animals that live in the trees and in the grass. When i was younger i always wanted to be a cool creepy witch who lived in the forest and so that's why the forest is my favourite! :D

Some of the animals that live there are:

Deers
Bats ( my favourite)
birds (all sorts of kinds! Its incredible!)
Bears (if you're lucky, you won't bump into one)
Butterflies depending on what kind of forest you're at
Sometimes even pandas! If it were a bamboo forest that is.

Theres so so many things i could talk about when it comes to the forest; like the fungi you'll find in fall, the crunching of leaves. Rivers, all sorts of things.

Another thing i love about the forest is how silent it is at night, you can just relax and listen to the wind hit off the trees.. if i could i wouldn't hesitate to go camping in a forest overnight, the little adventurer inside of me begs for it!

My favourite green space is a place near my grans it’s sort of like a little field with a forest surrounding it, I don’t have any photos or videos of it sadly since I don’t get to go there a lot but the photo above is what it kind of looks like. From what I can remember the reason I love it so much is because the first time I went there it had hundreds of butterflies, bees and flowers I can remember seeing daffodils and daisies but can’t remember the rest since there were a lot! I’ve yet to see any mammals but I don’t doubt that they aren’t there, I also do wish I can go back there soon as possible as it’s so peaceful to just take a walk there :)

My favourite green space
By kayleigh

Is a park in Kilsyth sadly I can not find a name for it in the maps but it’s a lovely walk, I like to take the dog to this park as it’s only 10 minutes in the car from mine. In this park you will find a pond with swans and ducks you also have a big open grass area with trees and bushes where you will see bunnies and squirrels playing and once I seen a pelican walking next to water up.

This park has lots of different kind of daffodils and tulips you also see bees in this area as it also has a bee hive stand in between this bushy area. we also like this park because it has this house next to it and when you walk past it you can see chickens, hens and roosters running in the play pen area. My dog goes crazy at this park but we keep her on a tight leash because the squirrels the only thing she doesn’t like about this park is that if you keep walking though the woodland area you will come to a fence what has a big open green area with horses and she scared of them I like to feed them apples and I bring birds seeds and veg on the trip too for the smaller animals

My favourite greenplace isn’t a specific literal place but it’s anywhere with an open forest. Beautiful big trees everywhere, soaked mud from the river below my feet, the rare glimpse of deer, foxes, rabbits and maybe a hedgehog here and there. The smell of the fresh air and the sounds of the birds chirping they’re cute songs, the sounds of the wind on the trees, the water in the far distance, the sounds of the crunch of twigs and dried up leaves on the ground after each step, the beautiful daffodils and other plants in the most random places to climbing the huge rocks buried in the big hills of trees and bushes.

I really enjoy the adventures I have in the forest walking my dog. It’s like every little worry, stress or anxiety simply fades and your enjoying the moment taking everything and it reminds you how beautiful nature really is and how blessed you are. For me it’s like I could take on the world and not have a care in the world, could run forever in the forest with my dog, playing hide and seek with him and just simply be in the moment. That’s why it’s my favourite greenplace and there’s no better feeling than just being in that moment together.

My favourite greenspace is at Lily Loch in Hillend, Airdrie. I think this place is beautiful because it has all I love the most in nature - the lake, rocks, hills. meadows and forest! The place is always quiet and peaceful, when I am walking there I feel like my soul's dancing and I just want to lay on the grass or swim, or listen to the woods sounds. You can see a lot of beautiful yellow western gorse growing around pathway. There is a breath-taking thick spruce forest with a long path between the trees - it's so dark inside that even on sunny day you feel like you're entering the ''horror movie- style'' deep dark forest. When you're there you can't hear anything - it's so quiet, it smells so beautifully and when you take steps you can hear echo from the ground. It's magical and pictures are nothing comparing to actually be there! But I have attached some in the PP. I wish I could stay there forever.

I like to take my friends dog there and let her run around and enjoy the sunshine. It has so many nice focal points where the sun shines at just the right angle and the trees are amazing for shade. I love going here on warm summer days to release any stress and make myself feel at peace. In the summer time the green is also used for festivals which makes it even greater and is great because I’m so familiar with it!
